Social determinants of health within the working population
Audience
The project addresses the social determinants of health within the working population. The wellbeing level within the working population has a significant effect on the development of an economy. This project is addressed to the local health department as well as other government officials who play a critical role in policy development. The wellbeing of an individual is a holistic aspect that must be incorporates occupational, environmental as well as nutritional elements. The local health department plays a central role in ensuring that these elements are sufficiently catered for within the target population.
The presentation will be done during the annual health consultative forum organized by the local health department. This is usually held at the offices of the director of health.
Mode
It is pertinent to note that the effectiveness of a presentation is mostly based on the ability of the presented to interact with the audience. An elaborate profiling of the audience will be carried out before the actual presentation. It is expected that all the heads of sections within the local health department will be present. The current challenges within the department will analyzed. Relevant local statistics will be incorporated in the presentation. This is instrumental in enhancing the significance of the ideas captured in the presentation. Graphical representation of the local health statistics will also be incorporated to enhance understandability. However, the core areas to be captured within the presentation include:
- Occupational health factors associated with the local setting
- nutritional factors within the local context
- Environmental factors associated with wellbeing within the local setting
- Suggested solutions to the challenges of social health determinants
