First of all I would like to say that the United States of America is a free country and everybody is free in his/her choice. So, why students should be required to wear uniforms? Especially considering that fact that they are growing and developing human-beings, they need to do strange make-up, to wear some pieces of clothes which do not suit each other, but children are only finding necessary things and themselves. They need to express their feelings by cloths, their mood or their place in the world. For example, somebody wants to be a goth, and the school wants him/her to wear red with blue uniforms. Considering that fact that children spend too much time at school this person will not be happy at school. And what for to wear uniform as you cannot be happy in all other spheres of your life. Of course, it is better not to wear uniform. Besides, it is normal when a girl or a boy wants to imitate some celebrity and look like he or she does. But can you do it with the school uniform? Certainly, you cannot. By the way at school you meet your first love and it goes without saying that you want to impress your beloved and clothes play the greatest role in it as it is the part of your appearance. But it is rather difficult to make somebody love you when there are hundreds of students around you are wearing the same clothes. I think sometimes uniform can even make you be depressed.
Moreover, when children wear uniforms it does not guarantee anything. I would rather say that when they wear this uniform and do not like it, they do not want to study, they have bad mood, they are upset, irritated. Of course, it influences you to wear every day the same clothes. It is boring. And I think that studying must be interesting and exciting. By the way, even the majority of the students themselves say that do not like the uniforms. [Wilde] By the way, if somebody really does not understand some subjects or does not like them, the uniform will not make you study better or understand it better. Also, if he or she was always a hooligan and did not study at all, I doubt about good influence of the uniform. I would rather believe that this person will not wear it at all. Just for fun.
In addition to it by proposing for about eleven years the clothes from schools, children really do not learn how to make their own choice. And from the first sight such a simple thing can cause a real problem – children do not transit into adulthood when it is necessary. They so used to that fact that somebody chooses almost everything for them, that they are just relaxing. Adults can choose their clothes themselves so that to express themselves and children cannot as the government did it for them. [Chen]
Also, there is such a tricky point, that the education cannot be considered free of charge as parents should spend some money on the uniforms. That is why many people think that buying uniforms has commercial ground not educational. Parents should buy uniforms regularly and you cannot buy one for five years for example, even if your child of the same size. Due to this fact country has big income from uniforms. But anyway parents should be free in their choice what to buy for their children to wear. Actually everybody lives in a free country and why government should dictate somebody how to bring up children? [Motsinger]
