- Cellphones nowadays are considered an important item that must not be far from a person’s reach. It could be used for media applications, surfing the net, text and calls. However, some schools prohibit students from carrying their phones in schools considering that it would distract students from their school work.
- Thesis Statement: While this may be the case, enabling students to carry their cellphones to school would also be beneficial as it could enable students to call for help or serve as their GPS system in case they are taken captive by criminals in any given instance.
- Cellphones can enable students to call the authorities or their families in case they are abducted
- Law-enforcers and parents consider cellphones to be a good medium to ensure that children would be safeguarded while on school, enabling them to call authorities in case of abductions
- Several cases have already been resolved thanks to cellphone used by students who have been abducted.

- Cellphones nowadays are capable of GPS Tracking, which provides accurate location maps and directions for students and parents to use.

- Conclusion
Although there have been cases wherein students have been abducted even if they have their cellphones, it is still an excellent precaution to have them keep these cellphones while in school so that they may be able to use it in any kind of emergency. Given the current threats present in society today, it would be best that students would be prepared for anything. Enabling them to have their cellphones at schools not only lessens parent worries to the safety of their children, but also it is a key tool to make sure students could call for help once needed.
