At the end of each course in college on has to know who he or she has progressed so at to decide on the future. This reflects on the effort one has contributed to wards attaining his degree/diploma or certificate. One has to have either passed or failed, there is no in-between. If one has passed, this implies that he or she has successfully completed his studies, hence success. There are various reasons which may contribute to the success of a person in collages as well as failures. In our thesis, success in colleges will be reflected on giving reason and causes success in colleges.
The aim objective of attending college is to read hard and acquire skills and knowledge in the relevant profession and also graduate with a higher GPA score (Guyer, 54). It is accepted that students attend colleges to read, this is the secret to every excelling student who has passed through colleges. Students need to find reliable and ample time to read their course work so as to maximize on chances to excel in their studies. One must first located a good reading are where he or she is assured that maximum concentration will be attained. Secondly, writing of a timetable where each unit course is given its ample time. Time involves locating of the best time so as to minimize interruptions. With these in mind, one has no reason to fail his or her college education as reading is always the key tool to success in colleges.
Extra-curriculum activities also aid in the increasing of success rates to the college students. It is said that extra-curriculum activities help in the increasing of the intelligent quotient levels of students thereby increasing their success rate. They also help in the relaxing of the mind, in that after that the mind is in a position to understand things better hence reading at such a time will be most encouraged. As a Wiseman once said, too much work and no play makes jack a dull boy. This can be put direct in context as students must not always spend their times reading all the time without short breaks to engage in various extra curriculum activities to relax the mind. Involvement in other activities in school also helps increase the self esteem of students hence increasing their success rate as well.
Finding your own time to read and joining an extra-curriculum is not enough to guarantee you to pass your college education. One must also join various study groups and make follow ups to the lecturers to gain insight on areas one had not understood perfectly and also perfect on the knowledge one posses (Guyer, 176). With this, one has advantage over the other students hence increasing the rate of success. In study groups, people exchange information and knowledge they have learned and gained during the course of time, hence, participants gaining more skills and knowledge.
