Three Day Analysis
An analysis of the recommendations from MyPyramid Tracker website indicates that my diet is not healthy and the level of calcium that I consume is low. It was also indicated that I had inadequate fiber in my diet. This was termed as unhealthy eating diet since it is not in accordance with the nutritional values and recommendations of healthy living (Reinage, 2011).
Most of my meals during the three days analysis comprised of fast foods such as fried chicken and pastries. These diets can be characterized as having lots of fat and sugars and lacking so many other types of essential nutrients that the body requires for a healthy living. Such kinds of foods are very unhealthy to be consumed regular without supplementing them with vegetables and cereals which provide vitamins and fiber respectively and also milk which provides calcium.
Fiber is also vital especially in structural development and aiding in digestion process. The Food Pyramid Tracker indicated that the unhealthy eating diet was linked to the fact that I take food on the run mainly determined by highly demanding job that I engage in (Reinage, 2011). This conclusion made by the Pyramid food tracker can act as baseline for starting a healthy eating habit that can enable me to continue with my job and execute tasks effectively and efficiently. A modification in the eating habits is one of the strategies that can be used so as to comply with the recommendation of a healthy diet as recommended by the MyPyramid Food Tracker.
The total calories per serving ought to be increased so as to ensure that a healthy living style is maintained. The percentage of the calories from fats ought to be reduced while fiber, calcium, carbohydrates and proteins should be increased so as to ensure that the structural development of the body is facilitated. This will also ensure that enough energy is available to the body for proper functioning (Reinage, 2011).
