For eight years now, a fashion label company named TRB has blossomed and thrived in the fashion industry. The company was started by Tory Burch who started her business operations in an Upper East Side apartment (Sellers 1). The fashion label became a success and got endorsed by Oprah in the next year. This opened doors for the label to have more stores in several large American cities, and have lines that sale in several upscale specialties. Her dream, charisma, passion, vision, and her fashion label have made her success story (Meredith 1).
Tory Burch can be seen as an ideal example of passionate and visionary person who had a dream in the fashion industry, to a successful businesswoman in the fashion line who now seats at the top of the industry. Tory Burch was born in 1966 in a wealthy working class family in a Valley Forge farmhouse, in America. Her mother was a former actress, and her father was a wealthy investor who inherited a stock exchange seat and a paper cup company (Meredith 1). She attended Agnes Irwin School and University of Pennsylvania where she was a member of the sorority Kappa Alpha Theta. After graduation, she moved to New York City, where she began a career working with fashion designers, including Zoran, a Yugoslavian designer (Sellers 1).
The fashion label began with a single boutique to a multinational company, “Tory Butch LLC”. The fashion label received revenue of $16,800,000 in 2004 which was pretty small compared to the current revenue of $170,000,000. This financial record puts the fashion label among the best companies in the world (Sellers 1). The fashion label sells its product at affordable prices, allowing many people to access its products. It also practices online advertisement of its products and email marketing, thus keeping its customers informed of its products. This ensures a consistent market (Meredith 1).
