People who want to work in Criminal justice major need to go through some special training sessions. Since criminal justice major deals with serious crimes, it requires very specific knowledge about the laws, government procedures, psychology and social sciences. There are three types of trainings suggested for people who want to work in criminal justice major. This paper intends to discuss several training programs, required for working in criminal justice major and several related aspects.
Theoretical training- a nation that is governed by laws, rules, statutes and procedures, people who want to work in the field of criminal justice, should be provided very intensive training about the theoretical part of the criminal justice system. They should be taught and trained about laws, rules and system (Robertson et al.).
Practical training- learning laws, rules and procedures theoretically is not sufficient and to be a good professional or even skilled social worker, an intensive practical training is required for the people who aspire to work in the area of criminal justice major. They should undergo a practical training with experienced and skilled people in order to provide good service to others.
Endurance training- people who wish to work in the area of criminal justice system, should be given endurance training to provide better services to those who are in need. Endurance training helps people in developing stamina, tolerance, patience, mental and physical power which is required for the people who wish to work in criminal justice system.
Criminal justice experience- people who have undergone any experience of criminal justice have been proved to be a good professional or worker of criminal justice system. those who experienced it personally or professionally are more skilled ad can understand things in a better way.
Criminal investigation- a very dynamic and challenging field and requires people who are very keen to, search, investigate and solve issues of criminal justice system. Experience counts and helps in a substantial manner and those who have it are very precious for this sector.
Informative- criminal justice system and criminal investigation requires a lot of hard work, research and updated information. People, who want to work in criminal justice major, should work hard in order to be updated and equipped with all the related information of criminal investigation and criminal justice system (Walker and Starmer).
Legal advice about homicides- legal advice matters a lot for people who are in need of it. There are a number of people who are trapped or fabricated unnecessarily in crimes like homicides, need appropriate legal advices and it helps them a lot. So people who wish to work in the field of criminal justice, should be able to advice others who are in need.
Legal advice about violent crime- apart from homicides, there are several other violent crimes where legal advice is required to the people who are trapped or even commit these crimes due to some unavoidable or any other circumstances. Legal advice helps them in overcoming their guilt feeling and overcoming from their crime. It also helps in a fresh start.
Legal advice on the crimes of stealing and armed robbery- legal advice on the crimes like stealing and robbery have been found to be very effective in controlling and improving criminals. People who are first timer or beginners are more tend to improve their habits after an appropriate legal advice.
