World View
People have different views of the world depending on the kind of influence around them. The kind of upbringing an individual has determined how they view the world generally. The environment they grow up in plays the key role of shaping their opinion and mentality towards the world. Like most people, as a child I spent most of my time with my mother. This close relationship and connection with her made her one of the greatest influencers of my view on the world. Parents have the main duty of teaching their children life lessons. This includes discipline, honesty, work ethic responsibility and social interactions.
My mother influenced my view of the world in different ways. As a single parent, she had to work extra hard to instill the best qualities into her children. Her strict nature on human conduct is one of the best influences she had on me. She emphasized on honesty and responsibility in everything I did. This way, I grew up knowing that honesty and responsibility were part and parcel of human beings daily life. Similarly, I developed the view of the world that honesty and responsibility are fundamental human qualities.
Sharing opinion on current affairs with my mother also influenced how I view the world. Being the experienced and elder figure to me, I often took her opinion, as it was. I tended to adopt most of her reasoning and opinion on matters such as politics, education, relationships, responsibilities and management. These influences helped me develop as an individual. I grew up with the open mind of trying to analyze every situation. I became a problem solver minded person since I believed everything had a solution. I also learnt to be responsible, and my social interactions improved because of my mother’s influence on the view of the world.
Having been influenced by my mother as a child, most views on the world have not changed. However, interaction with different people, especially the academic professionals and people of different social and cultural definitions, has changed my world views to a great extent. Views on the political, educational, technological and social aspects of the world change when time moves and you interact with people who have had experiences with these aspects of the world.
