The ethical issue of the driver case can be classified under organizational relationships. This is because the case of the driver will affect the way the company is viewed externally. It is an ethical issue that has a potential negative impact to the company in the sense that the company partners could have hired the driver before. They could, therefore, be having information about the driver. This information could taint the image of the company. The relationship with the other stakeholders, like suppliers, could be tainted. The reason this is important to be looked into and assessed by the company is the fact that the driver is s delivery supplier. The companies which the driver delivers the goods from the company could have the criminal record and ha history of the driver. Some companies may terminate the connection of suppliers and partners who do not uphold integrity in their systems. This is common in religious organizations that will hold integrity with everyone, even the companies they interact with (Champion, & James, 2011).
Another important thing that needs to be considered in the case of the driver is that the crime may be committed again. This will be a total embarrassment for the company. The employees will not mingle with the driver freely if they learn about the crime which the driver did. This is something that everyone will shun away given the magnitude and the consequences it has with the organization. There will be a need to have a warning about the case and ensure that the driver gets to know about the consequences if such issues will ever arise in future again. The driver could also do this act in the companies and partners he delivers the goods. This is something possible. This will mean that a business connection shall have been lost. It is important to take care of this (Salehnia, 2002).
PRESS RELEASE
Integrity issues in the company
It has come to the notice of the management that there are some employees who concealed their past criminal records for the sake to be employed in the company. It is important to know that giving false information is a crime that is punishable under the law. This is a criminal offense that can lead to termination of duties of the company. This letter will serve as a call for such individuals to reveal this information to management. They will be required to swear under oath office that they will not let their past actions repeated within the company premises. Everyone will be required to acquire a certificate of good conduct from the police. This certificate will clear each individual from the past crimes they have committed.
Please note that if we will not hear anything from you for the next two weeks, any case that is found to be similar to the above-mentioned will lead to automatic disqualification and termination of duties from the company.
Thanks
Plan
The organization will take measures to ensure that future incidences will not occur again. One step that the organization will take is that of ensuring that there is an affidavit from an attorney showing that the information that the potential employee is true. This will enable the organization from having forms that are not filled.
Another step is that all employees will be required to fill forms and leave copies with the company attorney. This will help the company file for any suits in future.
