The given scenario concerns an organization that is intending to develop a business plan to provide a service to a needy community. The organization is, however, expecting difficulties in obtaining finances for the community project. There are two options that the board is deciding upon, either being transparent in their financials or overstate them to ensure proper financing of their venture (Chang et al., 2015).
The project to be established belongs to the category of the non-profit organization because the services are to be provided to a needy community (Stymiest, 2014). Therefore, the board should be transparent in its financials to so that an apparent channeling of resources is exhibited in the provisions of services in the community.
Overstating of financials is regarded as a breach of ethics as far as health care finance is concerned. Overstating of finances entails quotation of a higher amount of funds required to undertake, and it is a breach of ethics that need honest information about any business venture to be conducted.
The mission of the organization is to provide services to a needy community, and therefore transparency of the financial matters is needed to ensure the proper and sufficient provision of services. Donors always require information that is free from ambiguity to enable them to trace the activities that require a certain amount of finances (Palo Alto Software Inc, 2015). Therefore, it will be a breach of ethics to overstate finances because there will be inaccuracies in the quoted by the organization.
The best decisions can be made for the health care organization by ensuring that all the required information is gathered to maximize the best ideas. The necessary information and ideas from the various parties are assembled and made into good use thus bringing out the best decision for the organization. Another strategy to ensure reaching the best decision is incorporating the members of the organization in the decision-making process. For instance, giving the stakeholders of the organization the chance to participate in making decisions will enable the organization to reach its best level of decisions.
