Philosophy enables one to reason and it represents almost every aspect of one’s life. Studying philosophy enables one to understand themselves better, understand the purpose of their lives and be in a position to account for most happenings in their daily lives.
Explain the Socratic Method of Teaching. Is this a useful way for students to learn?
Socratic Method of teaching is a technique that involves a dialogue between the student and the teacher where the teacher poses questions at the students continuously. It is an efficient method of learning because the teacher is able to shape the student’s outlooks and thoughts.
Explain how critical thinking can be used to analyze a philosophical issue
Critical thinking emphases on reasoning and an appraisal of dialect to tin an effort to describe questions, scrutinize descriptions and define what is accurate concerning the world. Analytical thinking breaks down bulky sentences into lesser denotations.
Compare and contrast deduction, induction, and abduction.
Deduction, induction and abduction compare in that they are all approaches of argumentation. Deduction refers to the manner of finding data to support an argument. Abduction refers to supplying anauthorization that permitsone to change from statistics to argument. Induction on the other hand refers to finding adispute to elucidatecertain data.

Philosophy is a compound arena that involves varied different areas of thought. Some of the areas are aesthetics, Africana Philosophy, ethics, existentialism, History of Philosophy, philosophy of religion and political philosophy.

Idealism has the outlook that the nature or reality is based on minds and opinions only. Materialism sums on substance as the only prevailing article in the space. Dualism believes that a non-physical can generate a physical action. These three compare in that they believe in the existence of a physical reaction.
