The greatest achievement in my life so far has been being chosen to be part of the basketball team. It has not only enabled me to be part of a great team but has also motivated me to work very hard. Being in basketball has been my dream for the longest time I can remember. It has worked as a bait to move me to all other successes in my life. I have worked so hard to improve my grades by putting in extra hours to study just so that I may be a part of the team. The fact that academics is part of it means that I hit two birds with one stone that stone being determination. I realize that I have to keep working very hard to maintain good grades in order to remain in the team. I intend to be the best at it. I also have to dedicate time and energy to practice in order to remain in the team.
The team is also home for me. It has helped me develop a good social life and a healthy one at that. I have to balance between studies and basketball and most of my teammates are working toward the same. This has only brought us together to encourage one another. Team building, I reckon, is about brotherliness, and we as a team have come to know one another in the court and outside of it. We motivate one another since we all are working toward a similar goal. Being in basketball has changed my life for the better. It has made me a better person, and I intend to keep working on it.
