American Public Health Organization is an American group that is specialized in the care of the public regarding the overall health of the people of America. This organization was developed and designed under the Public Health Act that is aiming to combat the various enemies of public health such as disease outbreaks and such. Additionally, this organization works on the principle that the public is to be immunized against several childhood diseases and outbreaks. With that regard, this organization deals in the various immunizations and drugs as well as distributing them to the public. Apart from so, this organization performs a surveillance program monitoring the public and detecting any forms of anomaly in the health pattern. In truth, this organization is exposed to an extensive budget from the United States government and so an audit is necessary.
Corruption, the misappropriation of public funds in the organization is something that needs to be watched out for considering that the public service will be compromised (Jones, 2004). Additionally, corruption is prone to affect the flow of cash from the government to the various employees implying that the salaries will not be on time. American Public Health Organization has been deemed to be exposed to a high degree of corruption, especially the heads of the various offices. This is evidenced by the many complaints that my offices at the Ministry of Health, bending on the salaries delay yet the government records shows that the funds were transferred early enough. Additionally, previous research has shown that the prevalence of diseases that children are immunized against has increased. In other words, corruption is imminent and an evaluation is necessary considering that the records run for an approximate two years marking that there was a change in the status quo at that specific point in time.
The evaluation of this organization is deemed to take an approximate three months considering that there are several files that need to be reviewed and audited for any form of discontinuity, especially regarding the flow of the cash and the drugs. Additionally, an interview of the personnel that have worked and interacted with the heads of department for the previous two years and this will call for a whole month in order for them to open up and bring into light any form of corruption that is currently eating into the integrity of the public service (Nicholls, 2011). Consequently, the activities regarding the evaluation of American Public Health Organization will be labor intensive and so it will call for a number of personnel equipped with the necessary skills to perform the various duties. The organizational structure that the management has input will also be very valuable in following the flow of records and the various recorded commands.
Organizational leadership is also quite necessary in order to know who holds the power within the organization or if there is any form of power sharing at least having a starting point to investigate the corruption in the American Public Health Organization. In accordance to the three months that this evaluation will be performed, the aim is to detect any form of corruption ranging from the highest of leadership point to the lowest personnel in the hierarchy of leadership following the funds from the government as well as the drugs. The evaluation will eliminate any form of corruption that the organization faces and the salaries of employees, unnecessary costs and the relevant medications that are handled by the American Public Health Organization will be in time.
