Chapter 2,3(pages 104-115) and 12(pages 531-545)
Explanation: I was taught by my teacher in the school that abortion is wrong. As I grew up abortion rate has also increased then, came to know that government has strict laws against abortion and is a crime. It is against our moral values and an inhuman act to kill the unborn.
Reason/Evidence:
- Authorities: My teachers and the law governing bodies taught me this.
- References: I read about this in several newspapers and is published by the court of law.
- Factual Evidence: I have seen the advertisements and posters at the hospitals and on the internet published by the government.
- Personal Experience: I was watching an episode on discovery channel and saw a true story of a couple trying to abort the child, but get arrested and sent to jail and the child came to life while its parents both imprisoned.( http://www.guttmacher.org/statecenter/spibs/spib_OAL.pdf )
Example: Should men be the breadwinners and women the homemakers?
Explanation: Our history shows the evolution of mankind earlier, we lived in joint families and there was a head of the family who used to be a male and was expected to work hard and earn a living for the family. While women used to cook food, maintain the house and takes care of the children. Nowadays the situation has completely changed and after the law passed for women to get equal opportunity and to be employed and rewarded equal wages.
Reason/Evidence:
- Authorities: Religious authorities taught us that women are tender and needs to be protected and respected later, after the reforms and laws being passed in favor of women equally capable as men. Supported by law and accepted by all women have equal rights.
- References: It is published by law under the Women Empowerment Act.
- Factual Evidence: I have seen the documentary and other videos on history and the struggle of women for their fundamental rights. The law has also empowered women to get employment and equal wages as compared to a man.
Personal Experience: I have noticed the number of women working as teachers, nurses, advocates, doctors, and in every profession competing with men and getting better day by day, supporting their families economically and emotionally.
