My interest in mechanics developed when I was a little boy in elementary school. I was always and inspired by the role that mechanics plays in our lives; from cars to airplanes and even toys, I was always impressed by what mechanics can do. Furthermore, I grew up as a young boy who loved motorbikes, robots and basically any machine that had an engine. In high school, I particularly enjoyed learning about hydraulics as well as the pneumatics system. Although the control system is only a small branch of the mechanical engineering field, it totally caught my attention. Consequently, it has always been my desire to handle massive machines that involve pneumatics and hydraulics as I find them irresistible. In actual fact, I have always dreamt of learning about machinery that involves movement and coordination.
Besides that, I graduated last year from Middle East International School with 89% in physics and 87% in mathematics. I believe that, with my passion for these two subjects, mechanical engineering is the perfect career for me. In this day and age, success as a mechanical engineer not only requires technical competence, but also a combination of leadership, management, and communication skills. I believe that I possess all these skills. I consider myself to be an accurate, devoted individual, and I always desire to be involved in activities that have a positive impact on the society at large. Undoubtedly, a career in mechanical engineering will enable me to be involved in building state-of-the-art machinery that will make life easier for many people around the world. I am a curious person; I always want to learn new things and gain new knowledge. In fact, I can speak and write Arabic, English, German and French quite well. It was quite enjoyable to learn all these languages.
I have also participated in a number of extra curricula activities in school and outside school. During my last year of school I participated in drama course. I have worked as an assistant in the selling department of my father’s company. This experience enabled me to know how to deal with people from diverse backgrounds and to appreciate the value of diligence; my father was very successful in his company due to his assiduousness. I believe that success goes hand in hand with experience. Although, I do not have any direct experience in mechanical engineering, I believe that my high grades, my passion for mechanics and my devotion to success will enable me to be a successful student and thereafter, a prominent mechanical engineer.
Since I was most interested in Mechanical Engineering, I knew that Germany would the best place for me to pursue my studies because the German engineers are renowned for having practical backgrounds. It is said that “Germany has always been synonymous with engineering”. This great nation has a reputation for its technical institutions of higher learning, practical and immersive internships, and most importantly, an economy and a culture that rewards engineering skills with prestige as well as career growth. As a result, I moved to Munich, Germany last year and I immediately began to learn the German. I hold a C1 degree in the German language. Furthermore, I have learnt and come to admire the culture and the way of life of Germans. After I paid a visit to this University, I did some research on the institution and found that it is such a good match for my goals. Furthermore, my decision to apply to this university was informed by the fact that the institution has a pleasant atmosphere and helpful staff. Without a doubt, a degree from your institution will serve as a solid foundation for a successful career in mechanical engineering.
