Allhallows on sea is set on the shorelines of the Thames estuary forming an important habitat for various organisms. It is thus characterized by attractive natural features, beach and sea creatures as well as a beautiful cover of coastline vegetation. In addition it is also endowed with a country park atmosphere marking it an attractive area where numerous recreational features are built. Allhallows on sea was designed to be the best sea holiday park in Europe to attract the largest number of swimmers bird watchers, fishers and horse riders in the UK. It can thus be considered to be an artery in the social economic advancement of the United Kingdom as a whole owing to its ecology.
The site is has a unique fishing site owing to the fact that it is characterized by a fresh water lake suitable for the breeding of fish with numerous tourist activities sufficient to provide fish feed..
It forms a unique migration and breeding hot spot characterized by birds such as Firecrest, Regular rarities as well as Ring Ousel .The presence of these birds is mainly due to the occurrence of the Estuarine formed between the Medway and Thames. It is also endowed with a changing climatic condition emanating from sea currents from the outflow of the power station and shoreline breeze. The sea beds are special breeding zones for various creatures due to on shore winds in spring and autumn attracting different sea creatures.
The site is also characterized by horses for horse riding endeavors owing to the green vegetation. Horses feed from the beautiful North Kent Marshes making the interrelationships yield a beautiful outlook composed of green vegetation and varying colors of horses. The place is well watered from both the Medway and Thames explaining the ever green look.
Proposals
- Community action planning
There is a proposal to incorporate the local community in management of the environment around Allhallows on sea. The proposal is aimed at enhancing biodiversity with a focus on community involvement.
Justification
The local community has a direct contact with activities taking place and will be the first beneficially of any improvement on the environment. The proposal is aimed at improving pathways around the sea, improved lighting, fencing, beach benches among others. Such endeavors would directly influence the lives of the local; community.
- Environmental Agency Proposal On Shoreline Management Plan
This is a proposal aimed at managing the tidal waves and floods around the coastline. The proposal will explore means of tidal and flood storage in order to reduce their negative impacts.
Justification
Once accomplished, it will go along into maintaining the coastline in its natural state therefore creating an intertidal habitat on the coastline. This will also enhance protection of grazing mashes around the coastline. It will also lead to a less defended coastline with a more natural environmental value.
