I wish to thank you very much for the opportunity to interview for the Assistant Manager position for your store. I felt the interview went very well, and I was happy to answer all of the questions that you had regarding the needs of the position. I have a great deal of respect for you and this company, which I have developed over the past year of working for Verizon Wireless. It is my hope that this respect, combined with my enthusiasm for the company itself, can translate into a wonderful working partnership should I be considered for the position.
While I believe the interview went well, I wanted to address a few lingering concerns you may have had over the course of the process. Though my retail experience is not lengthy, I believe that my education, enthusiasm and thirty years of experience in a team environment have granted me the skills necessary to fulfill the requirements of this position. As a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, as well as an MBA in Management, I believe I have the education necessary to overcome any shortcomings you may perceive in work experience.
I also recognize that another concern in my interview was my lack of experience in opening, closing and operating a store by myself. While this is a perfectly reasonable concern, this can be addressed very quickly and effectively. Shadowing is an extremely effective retail practice, and the opportunity to follow an experienced manager to learn exactly what needs to be done would allow me to efficiently gain the skills necessary for the position.
Thank you very much for your time, and the opportunity to demonstrate my desire to provide the highest quality service to this company. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
