I have been working as a CID Special Agent for the past __ years, and I believe that I am now ready to take my career to the next level, that is, by assuming the role of a CID Special Agent Warrant Officer.
I have had extensive experience as a CID Agent-Criminal Investigator. I have conducted various types of investigations, including deaths, sexual assaults, armed robberies, procurement frauds, computer crimes, counter-drug operations, and war crimes. I have also provided support in forensic laboratory investigations and in felony crimes across the Army, as well as investigative support for Army Field Commanders, although I’ve also conducted investigations on my own.
In addition, I have conducted 50 interrogations and 100 interviews for the cases I’ve investigated. In particular, I have interviewed witnesses and questioned suspects. I have also assisted in the maintenance of criminal records and have provided court testimonies for a number of felony-level investigations. I believe that many of these responsibilities are also performed by a CID Special Warrant Officer, and with the amount of experience I have, the duties that will come with the new role will not be entirely new to me.
I have also had plenty of experience in liaising with various law enforcement agencies, such as the I.E, the CIA, the DIA, and the FBI. I am capable of working with people from all levels of the organization, which will serve an asset in a leadership role such as that of the Special Agent Warrant Officer.
Moreover, I have received various trainings, which allowed me to gain knowledge in civil and military laws; in investigation procedures and techniques; in crime scene processing; and in testimonial evidence. I have also trained and mentored my fellow agents in the program, and I am confident that I have the knowledge and skills to do the same as a Warrant Officer.
Needless to say, I believe that I am exceptionally qualified for the role of a Warrant Officer as I have the leadership, management, and Army technical/tactical skills that are required. Should there be any new knowledge or skills that I need to develop for the new role, I believe that I can do so quickly as I am a fast learner and am a very determined and goal-oriented person.
