The research journals have explored its vision to understand what human rights are when it comes to the subject of starvation, humiliation, mutilation, murder and terrorism. However, women rights are not considered as one of the issues of human rights. Also, no provision has been given to the rights of lesbian, gays and transgendered present in our society, when it is related to human rights.
How do the readings relate to your own personal experiences “and”, “or” perceptions derived from sources such as the media, material learned in other courses, etc?
It is true that discrimination and crimes against women are present at workplace, street or market in the today’s world. The human rights community need to go beyond its traditional norms of considering only one gender i.e. male for the human rights. There is a need to give a full attention to the rights of female who face numerous issues and discrimination at their work, home or any other place.
There should be a voice against the child abuse and female abuse that is growing on a daily basis. This requires to make a punishment ordinance against those culprits who are taking benefits from the weak and innocent people of the society. Human rights fight against those who try to act brutally with common people that belongs to poor background and facing family issues.
Are there any specific topics or areas that you would like to continue to study?
A study can be made through covering few more topics of human rights that are still uncovered, and they are assessed as rights of minorities, racial discrimination, rights of disabled persons and bias issues present in the work environment.
