This article focuses on some of the demographic issues that are currently facing the education system of United States of America (Linda 2010). The author of this article also focuses on how race and the color of students have a connection with the distribution of resources in the educational institutions of the country. The article also explains that there are differences in the level of quality in the educational institutions due to differences in trainings undergone by the teachers. There is inequality in the distribution of resources in these institutions. For instance, there are some institutions which receive more funds than others, meaning that the lower class schools will be adversely affected.

Her wide knowledge in literature and education matters has enabled her to earn the title of a professor in this university. In this article, the author mainly stresses on equality in education since she beliefs that all students are equal despite the differences in cultural backgrounds. The main arguments of this article are issues regarding equality, quality and education in schools and higher learning institutions (Linda 2010). The author uses these key words to express her views regarding the current situation in the learning institutions of the United States of America.
The author uses her skill and past experience to explain her position. At some point, she uses personal judgment and opinion to express what she feels about the education system of the United States of America. In this article, the author explains that there are certain flaws in the education system of the country. She also shows some great deal of optimism by arguing that these flaws can be solved if people are united and committed to improving the current education situation in the country. She points out that the quality of teachers in schools is not equally distributed in all schools. According to her, differences in race can explain this inequality.
I agree with the idea of the author that teachers should not be selected on the basis of race but on the basis of qualification. I also agree with the argument that the achievement of students largely depends on the performance of the teachers. This is true because the greater the performance of the teachers, the greater the performance of the students. However, I disagree with some of her programmed proposals regarding the development of schools. Although it is necessary to set standards for teachers in learning instructions, there is a great deal of rigidity in them. Some of these standards consist of rules that may not be favorable to the teachers. This may lower the morale of the lower level teachers who earn less income.
In conclusion, this article is generally good since it has addressed current issues that need attention. The author of this article should be given credit for making contributions on matters that contribute a lot in the economic development of the United States of America. However, the author needs to make her arguments stronger by explaining the challenges that are likely to be encountered as well as the positive results that will be expected from the redesign of school models. This will enable readers to know the value of her arguments as well as the impact of the development proposals.
