Casey Anthony was charged for murder of her two year old girl Caylee Anthony. The youngster was reported missing by the grandmother and later her remains were discovered near their home area. Casey was charged with first degree murder but was later released by the court and charged with giving false information to the police. When the remains were discovered a lot of evidence was found including a string of hair found in the shaft of her car. The root branding of the root hair after death were consistent with the hair from the deceased body. An air sampling method performed in the shaft of her car showed decomposition activities based on the existence of five key compounds with regard to decomposition.
It was reported that the shaft of the car smelled of the decomposition of a human being but the laboratory reviewing the evidence was inconclusive. At the crime sight remains of a heart shaped sticker found on duct tape above the mouth of the child skeleton. Unfortunately the forensics was unable to capture it, when brought for dye testing hence, making it hard for the found evidence to be used. A blanket found at the crime scene matched with the child blanket which she used at home.
Developments from investigating Casey’s computer revealed she had carried out a lot of researches on chloroform. This indicated that she was planning to commit a crime but, a witness discovered a mistake with the soft ware had misled the investigators. He alerted the prosecutor of the case who in turn explained the issue with the defense attorney and raised it in court. This information was to be presented before the jury but the prosecutor was doubtful of this and the jury was not given the correct information. With this circumstance they give their verdict which led to not guilty of killing her daughter and she was set free. All the evidence brought before the court was inconclusive making the case circumstantial.
