I do accept as true that people should have equal opportunities regardless of their race, gender or religion. Discrimination on the foundations of either of the three kills democracy and is detrimental to the development of the economy and life. Equal prospects to all natives in spite of their race, religion or gender promote unity amongst the people living in the nation or state. Both men and women ought to be betrothed in active employment and given equal chances to compete in the career world . Equal opportunities to all help in making sure that all races and religions are fairly represented in the congregation of people and that no race or religion feels left out.
The equality helps in the fair distribution of resources and measurable development where all parts of the country are well represented at all levels. Fair representation and lack of discrimination is one of my core moral values, and I believe that lack of it will be helpful to the world in fostering development. In my previous college, my colleagues and I formed an organization that had its core objective being making sure that no one is discriminated on the justification of his or her race, faith or even gender. To show this to everybody, ladies formed a larger part of the leadership body. This ensured that all people understood that women too have a character to play in the development of the nation and should be given equal opportunities as men.
Equal opportunity to all is a factor I am compassionate about. However, women are becoming more empowered of late leaving the men generation out to fend for themselves . Nevertheless, we all necessitate working together to ensure that regardless of gender, religion or race, all people have equal opportunities as we make the world a better place. It is in my firm belief also that our acts should be guided and centered on the needs of others and our needs come last in satisfaction. My moral value depicts that when doing anything that affects me and those around me, I should first take care and think about the needs of those around me before I think about my own. Selflessness is a factor that is close to my heart and forms the basis of my morals.
There are reasons why I think people should place their needs second and give priority to the needs of others. Firstly, an act that has a negative effect on the lives of others but is beneficial to you is highly immoral. The deed acts a display of selfishness and lack of compassion and care to those around us. People should always act in the good faith of the people. Secondly, ensuring that the needs of the others come first before ours is a major step in helping the members in our society . It displays a person as a drive to the well being in the community they live in.
In my daily life, I encounter numerous opportunities that would be beneficial to me, but detrimental to the lives and needs of the other people in the society. Tree logging is one such chance, where I will benefit by selling the logs and make money but end up making the society suffer due to lack of rain. This is an offer I would never accept . However, it is important for someone to think about themselves in personal issues as happiness and satisfaction come from within. Nevertheless, the needs of others should always come before ours so as to prosper.
