Therefore, while constructing a marketing plan, it is important to develop a strategy which will ensure that the needs of the customers are fully taken care of. It is therefore prudent to identify the needs of different customers such as quality, safety of the goods and services being offered among other things.
After locating these needs, it is the role of the business organization to make sure that all the customer needs are fully satisfied. Any organization that satisfies the needs of the customers is likely to attract large number of customers into the organization.

Refers to the intensity of the level of goods and services being distributed to the customers. The level of products being distributed to the customers should be able to meet the customers’ requirements. The organization ought to ensure that all the products and services that their clients need or requires are made available to them in good time and at the right place using the right channel. For instance, different channels may be used to deliver the product to the client in good time. The organization should be able to understand the behaviour of different customers. For instance, they should be able to understand the best brands which are most liked by different customers. They should also identify the channel which the target customers are likely to use and to ensure that they deliver their goods through that channel. They should also be able to identify the channels that re mostly used by the customers to search for information about the product and the one which are used for purchase purposes. Understanding the customers’ behaviour enables the organization to maintain the loyalty of the existing customers as well as win the trust of new clients.
Recommended channels
The organization should be able to understand different recommended channels of distribution. As we all understand, at times the government may restrict on the channels to be used by different organization in order to distribute their products. It is therefore the responsibility of the organization to ensure that they use the recommended channel in order to avoid conflict with the government. The organization should also ensure that they use the channel which is best known by the customers. This will further give them an edge over their competitors. For instance, if the government prefer direct delivery to the client, then the organization should ensure that they use that channel.
Production.
Production has something to do with the creation and distribution of goods and services. It is prudent that the organization decides on where the product is to be produced depending with their target market. It is advisable that the production site be located near the targeted market in order to minimise on the cost of production. The organization should also ensure that the experts are employed so as to ensure that the brand produced is of high quality and meets the specifications of the customers in that particular geographical area or the targeted market.
Distribution modifications.
The organization should constantly monitor the distribution of goods and services to the clients. In situations where certain changes in distribution are required, it should be done with an immediate effect in order to ensure that the clients do not get disappointed. The distribution of goods and services should be based on the socio-economic characteristics or the target market. For instance, where the majority are middle income earners, cheaper products should be distributed. The organization should also ensure that what is being distributed is in line with the requirements of the targeted market.
PLC strategy.
The organization ought to ensure that the product life cycle strategy is taken into account. For instance, the organization ought to identify certain specific changes which ought to be done in order to facilitate distribution of goods and services to its esteemed clients. The organization should also be able to identify future distribution strategies which can be implemented in order to facilitate future distribution of goods and services.
