RE: Introduction of Compressed Work hours Week
The company is striving to maintain its integrity in the business community and customers in an acute competitive environment. The management convened a meeting on 6/15/2013 and set a committee to study the possible solutions and give its recommendations on the matter. In view of the recommendations made by the committee; that are in the best interest of the company and our employees, it is decided to introduce compressed work hours week (CWW) system. It is important to understand that this system has been introduced in many companies and have increased the productivity of the business as well as individuals who work there. Sun Microsystems, KPMG LLP, Best Buy Co. and PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. are few examples of such companies.
The studies show, with CWW setup in place, the better productivity, reduced employee fatigue, saves power consumption both in summer and winter seasons, longer hours for our customers to do business with us, more time for employees to spend with their families, less commuting and thus save time on the roads and flexible solutions to other personal commitments. The best thing about is that our employees can enjoy 3 days off and yet get paid for 40 hours.
The management understands that the new system may change the culture in the company and affect the personal routines of our employees, however for increased productivity and to avoid any future lay offs, management has decided to offer more flexible schedule to our employees.
It is advised to all the employees of the department to follow the schedule as posted on the news board. The management will review the system and its results after six months based on our employees feedback every month.
Employees who want to work extra hours, concerned about their paid vacations or have any other queries need to contact with their supervisors immediately.
Sincerely yours
