Problem One
A) One of the solutions to this issue is to shoot the scenes where baby is required in the first 20 minutes of the scene. Further on, after a certain amount of time needed for its rest, the other scenes involving baby have to be shot. While, it is impossible to employ baby for all six hours, the scenes requiring actual presence of a child have to be shot during the first two hours of a shooting day. The rest four hours can be dedicated to the scenes where baby is not visible or only partially visible. In this way, the production team will avoid the legal issues and will shoot necessary scenes in time.
B) Another resolution of the problem will require hiring three different babies for the shooting if it is essential for the movie that the child is present in all scenes. Also, babies have to look like each other for maintaining credibility of the film. It will result in more expenses, but it will be possible to shoot all scenes without breaking the law or changing a location.
C) Finally, a third solution may be applied if the other two are not possible. The scenes requiring the direct presence of baby can be reduced to two hours. The rest of the shooting can be adjusted in CGI if the budget of the film allows the production team to use this technology. This method will apply if it is essential for these scenes to be shot in a particular place and the scenario cannot be adjusted.
Problem Two
A) One of the first solutions for this dilemma is to use artificial snow and decorate the shooting scenes with its necessary amount as well as the attributes characteristic to this weather. Also, all scenes requiring snow have to be shot together in order to avoid possible mistakes. Yet, it will require more efforts and money to decorate the scenes and to make them believable.
B) The second resolution is to move to another location in order to shoot the scenes with snow. In this case, the budget of the film may increase, but it is possible to find a location where the production expenses will be minimized. In this way it is possible to avoid possible mistakes during the shooting and create the scenes with the natural snow during the summer time.
C) In addition, it is possible to add snow in post-production. It is necessary to shoot directly into the light sources, which will enable to blow out the background. If there are scenes without the actors present in them, it is possible to request the footage from TV stations in a particular location during the winter time, which can be added in post production as well.
Problem Three
A) One of the easiest solutions is to find a new location with a similar interior. The scene may be shot by not showing the details of the interior using the close-ups for the actors. This solution will take time, yet it will be the most optimal decision for this problem.
B) Another resolution will require the help from the CGI. The scene may be shot in a different place, but the details of the interior may be adjusted using the computer graphics. It may increase the budget of the movie and will require being particularly attentive to details in the scene, yet in this way the production team will be able to continue shooting a movie according to the time-table.
C) Additionally, the production team may wait for the library to be adjusted after the incident and continue shooting other scenes in another location. This decision will require the production team to adjust its time-table and return to shooting the initial scene later.
