Many companies post their mission and vision statements on their websites in order to make it easier for the customers to get to know the goals of the company. Coca Cola is one of the biggest international companies. It has also posted its mission and vision statement online. In its mission statement Coca Cola claims an ability “To refresh the world; to inspire moments of optimism and happiness; to create value and make a difference” (Coca Cola Company, 2017). It positions itself as a beverage industry that can easily refresh everyone in the world which happens to be the first statement in their mission. It is closely connected to the primary purpose of the company that sells carbonated drinks predominantly. Also, it happens to be a good addition to optimism, so it encourages the idea that its products go hand in hand with positivity. Its vision statement consists of the words that all start with a letter “p”: “people, portfolio, partners, planet, profit, productivity” (Coca Cola, 2016). Each of these aspects is being explained regarding how Coca Cola makes the world a better place to live and work in.
Coca Cola is likely to use its mission and vision statements during the process of hiring its workers. They have established the priorities that they want to be associated with their company. These two aspects many also influence the commercials that should present the company in such a friendly and positive way. Mission and vision statements may contribute to the company’s manufacturing habits. Since they happen to focus on the planet, it is likely that they reduce the emissions that come out their factories. The branding of the company should be based on their mission statement that is connected to the idea of happy life. For this very reason, almost all the commercials that Coca Cola creates show young people who are doing sports and smile at all times. Therefore, they promote healthy way of life and positivity as it is. Mission and vision statements help the company to be reached out only by the companies who have the similar interests, because they can see each other’s poll of goals.
