Introduction
Both Andy and Segal were sculptors though from different times. They had various similarities in the type of artwork that they took interest in doing. It is clear that both artists were coming from different ethnicity despite the similarities in the art. Andy Goldsworthy was British while George Segal was an American. Some of the obvious differences that exist between these two artists are the facts that they took interests on other activities besides building sculptures such as photography, developing paintings, along with being environmentalists. The potential both artists put in their work was evident with each artist having one of his work recognizable over decades.
Analysis
Andy Goldsworthy had other interests such as photography as well as being an environmentalist, which displays some of characteristics that had influence to his work. The artwork by Andy displayed often use of intensely colored flowers, leaves in addition to any other natural substances. George Segal is an American with a history of building sculptures though his were unique given the idea that they were human size. George is famous for the introduction of plaster bandages to build his sculptures. Segal preferred the material for completion of his artistic sculptures during his time. The use of color by Segal in his artwork was very as compared to Andy who had interest in nature, which is evidently full of color.
Description
The two artists had a common interest of designing sculptures though it turns out that their works had vibrant differences. One of the artists had interest in the application of color to the sculptures since he had an influential attitude derived from the love for nature. The other had limited application of color considering the material that he put to use in the completion of the artistic sculptures built. Though they were both sculptors, Goldsworthy and Segal had a difference in taste of the material that they selected to use in the building of their sculptures. Goldsworthy became common with his style after consideration as modern rock balancing originator. Segal has considerations as the initiator of plaster bandages use in the building of sculptures.
Interpretation
The two artists have factors that influence their artistic career and the designs on the sculptures that they build. Considering the fact Andy Goldsworthy had personal interests in nature, it is clear that this derived the appearance and design of the sculptures that he built during his existence. Nature is evidently colorful with the various aspects that are present in it. It is imperative that an individual expects more in terms of color application by artists interested in nature. There is limited use of color from an artist who focuses on the use of a single aspect on every of his sculptures built. These are considerable dynamics in the interpretation of such artists along with their works.
