Comparison between the West vintage and Chinese vintage
The term vintage describes the most outstanding features from the past models. It is trying to outline the values and quality of the items of the past with the behavior of culture of that time. Vintage clothes are those that were produced and worn in the period after the year 1920 to the present day. To fully understand vintage, one should study the past lives of people and their contributions to the type of wear that time. Vintages contribute a lot to the kind of the present cloth designs or fashion, and therefore, it should be understood that the modern designs are the continuation of the past.
Following the continued evolution of fashion and models in the world, people have found it significant to make designs that best suit the modern tastes and preferences of people. The wear of the past is sometimes seen as outdated, but we cannot fully do away with the good qualities from that vintage because it is the past that determines the present. However, some people, especially in some parts of China, people fear to associate with the past culture because they believed the past belonged to the ancestors. They fear to inherit the unknown wrongs that the ancestors that can be abominable or may bring curses that might harm the generations to come.
Chinese Vintage is a collection of various artistic works that represent the past culture of the Chinese and ranging from ornaments, clothes, cookeries, religion and also age groups. The outstanding features of the items said above are clearly displayed that one can easily understand. Despite the long distinguished history of China, vintage is not famous because most of the people associate the past with wrongdoings. Ancestral comparison in China is restricted since one can be compared to an ancestral personality that was evil or that had a bad reputation in the society and one may end up inheriting a bad behavior of those individuals. Chinese treasure and respect their gods because they believe that they are the source of their wealth and well-being. The clothes that belonged to the ancestors were believed to bring spirits of unluckiness. However, those vintages that were thought to bring good fortune can be accepted by the community. The popularity of vintage, therefore, is dependent on the belief accorded to it. An example of the Chinese vintage is a dress that was made of high-quality cotton and had beads. The dress was worn by a witchdoctor, and no one would accept the possession of it because a witch doctor was seen as a bad person by the society.
On the other hand, American vintage describes the present culture. The American people love and value something that they believe to be fashionable at any given time. If a type of cloth were design many decades ago and deemed fashionable at the present, it would be regarded as a vintage by the people. The understanding of vintage by the Americans is different from other cultures. In America, events are organized so that people showcase and celebrate different types of vintages. They believe that these items are unique in some ways and have the best features. They value the works that were done by their ancestors and like associating with them, unlike the Chinese, who look down upon the people who associate themselves with vintage. American people view vintage as a lifestyle since they feel proud to have the ancestral background. One has to assimilate vintage with the current designs of fashion for them to emerge a winner.
America's old culture continued to be recognized and acknowledged by the present generations and the ones to come. The various forms of vintages will keep appearing and the current fashions. Since the Chinese people do not like to associate themselves with vintage and its culture, the type of clothing of the past will end in China while continuing to be celebrated in America. Te modern trends in all aspects of life are influenced by the past. Vintage in the mother of all the current designs and this makes it almost impossible to isolate the old designs from the present. The current fashions developed from the past and the designers keep on studying the recent ones to come up with the current brands that satisfy the customers' wants. In America, a fashion that is established from vintage is valued and is in high demand.
Baxter-Wright, Emma vintage fashion is an American design that was worn in the 1940s to 1960s. The old fashion was the ultimate guide to the most exemplary women clothing. The vintage focuses on the era of evolution of women's fashion in a cultural context. The old style has a shopping guide that offers tips on where to buy as well as how to care for them. They are considered to be the past fashions which are stylish to the generation of that time. The vintage fashion was long with a blend of colors that makes it appealing even to the current generation.

The vintage represents the time when the fashion practice to many customers globally following the diversity that the fashions brought. Pantsuits are 1970s western woman’s vintage fashion suits. The designer of the suits Lorient Saint was extremely sensitive to the social trends and responded by creating some lines of tailored trouser suits for women. He designed safari suit basing on the African theme for spring and summer collection. She transformed the functional outfit in town wear for the women. Most of the Chinese women admire vintage clothing, but a lot of them are reluctant to wear it. The fear roots from the fear of inheriting the bad behaviors or curses by the ancestors. The other reason why they do not buy vintage is that shopping can be difficult, or the lack of interest or no time to hunt for the vintage fashion. Nevertheless, Chinese are people who embrace vintage but also, culture and beliefs regulate their type of wear. Some of the designers and lovers of vintage fashion in China like Soong, Wong fully represent the decade of these fashions. They adopted the cheongsam and the Chinese novelty prints into the mainstream of this old wear.
The people in the west appreciate and have a passion for anything that they think is fashionable. The modern vintage clothes that are an improvement from the ancient ones tend to fascinate them. The high adoration of the past items in the west, especially in America where such vintage is valued has led to a higher demand for these ancient fashions. The request of vintage garments, therefore, has risen, and their prices also hike. However, the fierce competition on these clothes has made the sellers regulate their prices.
