Arguably, conflicts are one of the inevitable issues with human nature. As a matter of fact, there are various types of conflicts that individuals undergo in the world today. Conflicts are defined by many scholars to be the difference of opinion on issues pertaining desires, ideas or wishes. It can arise between the coworker, political governments, couples, and organizations. These conflicts include organizational, operational, leadership, personality, values, interests, relationship, as well as data conflicts just to mention some. Perhaps, these conflicts affect the relationship that individuals and organizations have with each other. In most cases, conflicts affect individuals, teams, families or organization adversely. To avoid the impacts and effects of conflicts from becoming critical, it is essential to identify the conflict at an early stage and implement strategies to resolve them.
Perhaps, the conflict that I am currently having is a conflict between me and coworkers. I am actually in conflict with my coworkers, a situation that playing nice would not fix the problem. In fact, remaining focused in my work does not even work, which has tremendously affected my work in general. We are different individuals in nature, but what unites has is the work; this difference may cause conflict in various working environments, a scenario that is currently facing.
The conflict that I am currently having affects various stakeholders. Those affected by the conflict include me, coworker, as well as our work. My work has been affected adversely by the conflict that I am having with my coworker. The conflict between me and coworker affects me both professionally and personally. The conflict in question impacts the performance of the organization, profitability, as well as the relationship between me and the coworker.
Undoubtedly, no matter how hard I try my coworker is making my work hard and to some extend driving me batty. The situation is critical because the coworker is very rude, destructive, and has always created a hostile working environment. The clients I serve has also been affected by her rudeness. Those around us have witnessed the ongoing conflict between me and a coworker. The coworker has a reputation in the workplace by being angry at me making it difficult for me to work closely with her. In general perspective, the tension has tremendously build up between me and her. I have totally lacked job satisfaction, a scenario that has negatively affected production.
This conflict can has become harmful and swift measures have to be undertaken. The main objective of these conflict resolution strategies is to cool down the environment, slowing down, as well as engaging constructively with the issue. The first crucial way of resolution is to accept that there is a conflict, and face the coworker by letting her understand that I am aware of the existing conflict between me and her. Perhaps, this will open ways to deal with the conflict. In addition, creating a paper trail will be a good resolution since it helps me in noting down all the incidences my coworker goes wrong. In this case, the paper trail should not drive me towards neglecting my job duties. Another resolution strategy to use in this case is to look for a neutral individual to mediate and manage the negotiation process especially from the human resource department. The mediator help by ensuring that both of us talk openly of the conflict and to reduce tension between me and the coworker. The best solution to these conflicts is the use of a mediator in the process to find a solution. This is because each an individual is given a chance to talk out about the problem and find the solutions on our own. In general perspective, using a mediator will make both of us feel that we are creating our own driven solution.
