The Database mission statement
It is important to analyze and understand that the initial relation that Fernando is looking at, is related to the product and its supply, and there is a secondary linkage of the same with the events that take place. Hence as a service provider it is important to analyze the business requirements and create a mission statement before proceeding with the database creation. The idea behind investigation of interrelation ship is related to the fact that, the information supplied to the customers and the database maintained, must be helpful in creating valuable business expansion and revenue growth. The customer database should be retrievable and must provide enough inputs to create a mailing list and circulate information related to the events along with the prices to the interested pool of customers only. It is important to understand the utility of the interrelation between the product type and the offered event, as the customer would usually be interested in offers directly related to the product procured by them and not for all.
Database Mission Objectives
Based on the list created for the supplier and the products, the transaction database can be maintained which will include the details of the sales per customer. The events are also interlinked with the product type, on the other hand and the name of the event along with the state, city, address and time are maintained so that these can be used to communicate the right set of customers. Ticket price is an important part of the mails as the customers must be aware of the amount that they need to bring in order to view the events and participate. The customers can choose to be a part of the mailing list and if they do so they get the opportunity to receive event invites, coupons, upcoming sales and event flyers. In the same product and supplier option, the sales are displayed and at the same time it can also be used to identify the status of the inventory for that particular product.
