They say the eyes are the true indicator of the heart and the eyes do not lie. Body language experts have concluded that what the eyes correspond the actual body feeling and the study of facial expression truly explains this theory. For example when an individual rolls their eyes up and to the left this should indicate to you that this person is trying to recollect memory and what he or she is going to give you as the answer is absolute correct (Dobkin, 2007). In addition that info it is necessary to use the right techniques while talking to him/her in order to get the right direction on where the talk should be heading and the mood of the conversation.
Secondly, Face to face communication is important in our day to day life and more so in academic studies. This style of communication is important for the professor because as it is known from the facial expression you can be able to tell your student what you are teaching or not (Dobkin, 2007). For example, in a situation where a student puts on a sad dim face in the middle of a lecture this should be enough information for the professor to invite this student on a one on one conversation so as to identify what could be happening to the student and get to solve the problem with less interference.
I have learnt about my communication skill, I have also identified what make my communication poor with other people. One thing I plan to work on is to give undivided attention to their other person or group that I plan to be communicating with in the future. I also plan to start talking less and instead listen more so as to the other party’s points and understand them.
Communication is an essential element in the day to day interaction of human beings in essence the ability to convey a message to a medium and become interpreted by the recipient. Online communication is actually an important aspect of communication since it utilizes the used of internet to convey message to the rightful audience. The online communications skills basically they are the essentials in ensuring the message intended reaches to the intended person without the information being altered In ensuring that fraud do not happen you need to ensure you use the right mode for example, writing an email, use proper salutation to address the recipient properly.
Skills of the oral communication enhance my academic work and make it successful. firstly I can access more information vie the use of internet when doing my research, secondly given my tutor is online as well I tend to communicate with him or her online either for some clarification or consultation to ensure that I do the right thing especially during research proposals (Danet, 2010). The strengths in the online communications is that there is the storage of information for example a mail that you can refer later in your inbox, the speed of the conveyance of the information the importance of the online for example I can use the grammar checker to ensure my work is grammatically correct. On the other hand the weaknesses is that you my fail to communicate with the recipient since no tone or verbal and non-verbal cues used in the process therefore the message has could take a different meaning or if the person on the other end is offline (Danet, 2010).
As the book The multilingual Internet: Language, culture, and communication online (Danet, 2010) while improving online communication there is need to consider a reliable source of internet accessibility and to put in mind the essence of ensuring one is available online so that I may not inconvenience the recipient, to be always in line with the topic and proper salutation, keeping in mind to be brief and straight to the point.
Finally, communication is about making the other part get to understand you. It does not matter the language you use. Communication involves body language that comes out natural. In addition to this, communication is a two way traffic; while one is talking there other party’s involved should be listening. Unlike online communication where you can take time to refer to the information that has been sent. Online communication has also open many windows to help in communication such that you can communicate with someone who is many kilometers away without travelling.
