PART TWO: Reflective prompts
QUESTION ONE:
Values refer to the virtues that are held dearly by the individuals. They act as the foundation of one’s character. In most cases, values are virtues that are drawn from our societies to help us be morally accepted. However, it is not easy to define virtues for their relativity in terms of circumstances, perceptions of individuals and backgrounds. Despite this ambiguity, it is still widely accepted that what is good is good to very many people. It cannot be hidden
There are several values in life that people ascribe to. To me, I just have some things that I I treasure so much that I cannot compromise. These values include trust, hard work, balance and family. (Jack, 23)
Trust refers to the act of bestowing your confidence in a person, his or her strength, surety and integrity. It basically means having utmost confidence in your expectances for people. I value this value. It is so dear to my soul for I believe that nothing can be built without it playing a central role.
Hard work on the other side is the process that brings change to an individual and the world at large. This happens in a way that by the end an individual and the world at large increases its connectivity i.e. one becomes a very real and for the rest in the world to see so that they can imitate you by being real and achieve as well as you or more than you. Hard work brings transformations in our lives which are hard to achieve. I do consider hard work to be a pillar in my academic for only through that I can bring change to this world. Secondly I do consider it as a value to my education because it means a lot to work hard and attain something genuinely that having some crafty means to your success.
Balancing means the ability to weigh options and determine what is good for you at certain time. When one knows how to moderate and use his time well, he or she will succeed in life in that no much time will be wasted in doing what is deceiving. This is why I settled on this value to be my pillar in leisure so that I spend my time productively.
Lastly, I value family so much. I am a strong believer of marriage. I think any sane being should be married. My reasons behind this include the essence of family to bring the sense of belonging and continuity. Family is one of my ways to asses my development and ability social skills.
QUESTION TWO
2(a)
I have a goal in life to be successful in life. I do believe that people should try their best and be perfect in their areas of expertise.
I am ready to build relationships anytime I live. I also believe that no relationship can withstand the storms of life without immense trust. This is why I try my best to create trust whenever I can. Trust is one of precious valuables that keep me strong. I do trust that God exists, there is no scientific evidence to prove this but inwardly am convinced that He lives. Therefore, trust makes me believe that I can also make it just the way several people have made it in their lives. In relation to my short term goal, I do believe I can win the trust of people very fast. This is my driving force. (Jack, 26)
In leisure, I have a short term goal of choosing what is good for me. I strongly believe that my destiny lies squarely in my hands. This means that I believe in having the ability to perfectly create my environment fit for me. It is this goal that makes me avoid bad company. It is this goal that helps me engage in an activity as long as it is in the confines of comfort of my physical moral and mental environment.
Lastly, I believe in the roles that families do play in our lives. Currently, I have an aim of looking for a girlfriend. This acts as the beginning of it all. Having the faith in family will see me through the rough times of seduction and may be rejection by girls. However, I have to soldier on.
2(b)
The concept of organization is very easy to understand especially if you associate it with family. Any organization has the managers, different departments the employees just like a family has the head(s) and children everybody in the family has a role to play just like in an organization. All this is brought by building trust in people and entrusting them with whatever task you give them.
When one takes his time to do his or her best at work or in school, it is not easy to be blamed. It is very possible to notice when one casts all his efforts in a job. This can explain how machines work. Every machine in a factory just does its part. However, useless it may seem, it will perform its part. For the same reason, I usually try my best to do what I can do. Despite the fact that some people may not notice it, I will be confident of having done my best. This is my guiding principle.
Sometimes we fail to understand why we need motivation. Motivation can be intrinsic or extrinsic. It can also be psychological. This means that we need to motivate ourselves to work better. For the same reason, people need free time to relax. This is why leisure time is there. If you use your leisure time effectively, you will harvest positively but if it is badly used, it the harvest will be bitter. So just like people are motivated to find strength to work, the mind needs rest. This is why I use my leisure time productively. I do not want to regret.
2. (c.)
In my mind, I consider the concept of organization. I would like to come up with financial organization which ultimately I would be happy if it becomes very competitive. The success of this institution will be my greatest achievement.
I am still doing research on how to brand it but I have several things in my mind. I would like to build trust in people that it will be a bank for all. Through trust, I will be able to win the hearts of people to join it easily. I will win the low income earners as well as the high income earners. I will try my best to bring everybody on board to build a strong business foundation.
I will use the concept of a tree to elaborate the concept of an organization. In this concept, I will convince investors so that we have the top most organs which will be responsible for collectively coming with rules and regulations for the organization. This will see me through by making them have confidence that whatever I have for them is fits them.
I will widely advertise this organization. Through this, I will be making it known to people who will like to give it a try.
I will try my best to hold dearly the constitution of the organization. This is because financial matters are always very serious and when you bend the laws for anyone, you will finally blame yourself.
When we have good capital, I would like to enter the stock exchange market. This will see the company rise to greater heights. All this will only be possible collectively just like the eye works together with the leg. Building a strong foundation of trust will be hatching process. Secondly, I will try to lead by example by working hard to make it a success.
QUESTION THREE
I also have some long term goals. These include:
This will pick up when I register the organization and sell the idea to people. Action will actualize when I receive registration documents.
I know people will have different perceptions towards this idea but I do trust I will convince them to join it.
I am also planning to market this organization widely through mass media. I understand how challenging it is but I strongly believe I will sail through.
Finally, I will register this company with the stock exchange market. This will be my greatest achievement in this.
This will be my basis of personal development.
I know it will not be a bed of roses for me but I will ultimately settle down with somebody’s daughter. To make sure that am married I will wed.
QUESTION FOUR
Realizing goals in life means satisfaction to a person. This is what every human being is struggling for. In my life, my happiness will mean that I achieve my set goals in life. Having the financial institution will mean reach the stock exchange market will mean a financial base to me. In life money acts as one factor that brings happiness.
Secondly, it will make me realize my social skills and management skills. I know in the organization we will own several physical structures which will be under our care. My contribution will see the success of the organization at large.
When I will weigh below sixty-five, I will have psychologically achieved. I don’t like people referring to me as an obese. My prayer is that I be like very many people who are slim and love their bodies.
Finally, having a family will be my ultimate satisfaction.
All these will satisfy my craving ego. This will add value to my life. It will be the happiest man in the world.
