The British Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) is the second leading police force in the world with the New York Police Department (NYPD) at the summit. Finally, the geographical regions covered by the forces also differ in relevance. The NYPD covers the whole of New York City with prime businesses and banks while the Met Police does not cover the City of London with Prime businesses and banks. This area is covered by London City Police, and this demonstrates NYPD are still a more influential force than the Met Police.
