Example Of Education: High School Education Essay

I went to A.N. Myer Secondary School and was quite successful while attending. I can say that I was very successful as a student; specifically I was awarded three Certificates of Distinction in Art, Mathematics, Peer Support and Co-Operative Education. I can honestly say that these four years really allowed me to drastically touch up on my detail orientation, organizational, communication, and computer skills. For a high school student, I believe that I was exceedingly organized and worked very hard to get my assignments done as soon as possible, always before the expected deadline, neat and organized and well thought-out and thoroughly analyzed.
As it is commonly suspected and encouraged in an academic setting, I was always trying my best to be as cooperative and enthusiastic as I could both in and out of class. I believe that true leadership in an academic setting is not being afraid or shy to ask questions, answer questions you know the answer to, and suggest provisions when you feel that something is questionable. Always, In a respectable manner of course. My two main subject focuses were Art and Gym. I have always been a very creative and hands on individual ever since I was a young child in elementary school. Creating art is my favourite thing to do and I spent most of my time while in school, either helping out the Art Department, or creating my own artwork in class and quite commonly out of class during spare periods and occasionally during my lunchtime.
I always strived to be my very own leader while in high school. I feel that it is very
Important to respect everyone no matter whom they are or where they come from. However ultimately I think being a leader is what most kids need these days. A peer to look up to, someone who sets good examples and applies his or herself as much as possible; his was my true allocation whilst in high school.
I have always been very empathetic of individual needs and disabilities, which Is why I offered to help the special needs and learning disabilities group almost three to four times a week. This consisted of aiding fellow peers in their homework and long-term assignments, help preparing their lunches and contacting their parents if need-be in the rare case of an emergency. In saying so I was fully CPR and First Aid trained throughout my four complete years of high school, as I began my lifeguarding qualification obtainance through my high school institution when I was 13 years old.
I believe that I gave my best effort while in my final senior year as I knew how important it was to get great grades in order to apply for a good College/University. In saying so I am very proud of my accomplishments in my last year and all four years consequently for that matter. Although I must say Exams and tests have always been my weakest point, even as a young child. Especially in subjects such as statistics, business, and science, they were never really my strong points but I gave it my best effort and I succeeded with a decent above average passing grade in each of these courses. I successfully made the junior and senior soccer team, hockey team and weight masters team throughout my four years in high school. Our senior soccer team went all the way to the finals, winning to go all the way to regionals. Unfortunately we lost by one goal, but the experience was amazing and it was great to bond with my fellow players/peers and meet different students from different high schools around the region in which we live in. Overall I feel that my secondary Educational experience was an outstanding one.
