My passion for accounting has led me through school; throughout my academic career, I have always excelled in math, money, and business. For as long as I can remember I have enjoyed balancing budgets and strategizing financial activities. My passion for accounting and business has led me to strategize my career path in order to achieve my dreams of joining the alumni as a CPA.
I enjoy adventure and excel in new situations. I enjoy being social and meeting new people from a variety of different backgrounds. I work well independently and as part of a team. I enjoy learning about new technology platforms.
I love number crunching. I love business strategies and stock trading. I love business and I sure love money. I want to study the things I love. I am also very talented at it.
Having produced some of the highest grades in “my country” I have proven myself as an exceptional accounting student. Coming from a developing country I am excited to explore the world. I can’t wait to experience a variety of cultures and shape my world view. I appreciate the experience of learning new languages first hand and I am excited for the opportunity to enhance my linguistic skills while I study.
Coming from a modest middle-income family I have learned to strategize financial activities for efficiency and output. Due to my father’s state of health I have gained experience beyond my age preparing me to prepare finances.
Currently, I hold a diploma in accounting having graduated at the tender age of seventeen. I am looking to gain multiple certifications in accounting, financing, and business in order to gain an edge in the job market.
I am drawn to the BSc in Finance program with a minor in E-business. It is one of the best programs in the province. The alumni from this program having proven to the most prepared for their careers in my chosen career path. I like the size of the university, the classes are small enough to be able to build relationships with my professors. The education provided by the university would meet my education goals.
My career goals are to become a CPA and open my own financial company. By completing my BSc in Finance program with a minor in E-business, I will have the foundation I need to thrive along my career path. I want to learn as much as I can from my world experiences in order to return home and contribute to my people. I am driven to become a CPA because it is a high paying recession proof career that will bring me to the decision-making tables of business. I find myself allured by the white collar job of accounting as well as the fiscal security the career will prove for me, my disabled father and my future children.
I can hardly wait to attend university and take this next step towards my bright future. I have been planning for this step for many years now and I am proud of how much I have accomplished along the way. I still have much to learn in university in order to become a CPA at the top of my own successful company.
