Unlike my peers, I have never changed my aspirations and ambitions. I consider myself to be a self-confident person, but at the same time I tend to analyze and think over my own decisions – fortunately, I still have not found a single reason to give up my desire to work in a computer engineering field. Working on numerous projects while getting my Bachelor’s in Electric Engineering has only proved the fact that I feel absolutely comfortable and happy dealing with machines. One more thing I realized was the importance of programming and software for an engineer. That is why I decided to move on to an advanced degree in computer engineering in order to combine my current knowledge with programming and software, and I believe that my technical skills perfectly match professional requirements for this objective.
My most desired career goal is to work as a professional engineer in a large oil or IT company. I understand that in order to accomplish this task I must study and work as hard as possible, but this definitely does not make me panic – I strongly believe that I am a hard-working person who always long for excellence, so I am ready to face all the challenges on my way.
At the moment I have got Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering and the knowledge I have gained while studying is precious. However, I feel that it is not enough for me as I am the representative of that curious part of humanity who would like to know everything (at least available for this moment of our era). I know that it might sound too ambitious, but that is the way I am, and that is the reason why our humanity is in the process of constant development – because there are people who would like to know more and more all the time.
I love the process of studying and getting some new information I did not know previously. Being a diligent and responsible student was always my priority and, as a result, I am currently on Dean’s list. Besides, my craving for knowledge led me to IEEE and HKN Honor Society of Electrical and Computer Engineering – these organizations help me get the latest updates in the field of engineering so that I could develop my professional skills.
I tend to have an analytical mindset, although I also try to develop my creativity. Every project is a creative process for me where I should apply my analytical skills too. It is not that hard when you love what you do and you are ready to dedicate yourself to it. This is exactly how I perceive computer engineering – it does not even seem a profession or career when you love it, it seems to be your hobby that can provide for you. All in all, I feel very confident about the fact that my personal and professional skills perfectly match with what I would like to do as a profession – computer engineering.
