Introduction
In the process of academic as well as professional development, it is evident that people go through various forms of learning. There are skills that are only acquirable when one embarks on a process of seeking practical experience because they will get to apply such skills to a real situation in a workplace (Veit, Clemons et al., 2014). Therefore, the paper will address the development process that an individual goes through, in the study program as well as in the workplace. The study will involve their major parts, which subdivide the topic into subsections for a better chance of detailed analysis.
It is imperative that the various aspects of the research consider sensitive issues relating to the developmental process, for a well-informed investigation that presents reliable evidence for the various topics under study (Veit, Clemons et al., 2014). The use of management models will make a significant part of the research because the managerial roles are observable and well executable trough the incorporation of the management models.
Learning is a continuous process that entails the acquisition of skills in the theoretical as well as the practical aspects to enable one to serve the intended duty in their career path. In the management course, there are various skills required of every student and practicing manager (Gagnon, & Collinson, 2014). Without such skills, it is evident that the student did not assimilate the knowledge of the management process effectively.
There is a lot that the student learns in the management courses both in their learning subjects as well as during their working instances in the program. The knowledge gained involves an understanding of the subjects that pertains the managerial process, about the student themselves as well as about the importance of what teamwork entails (Gagnon, & Collinson, 2014).
Secondly, the learner gets to know how to keep the organization up to date with regards to the regulations that are in operation in the institution (Truonga, &Lauraa, 2015). There are regulations that govern the managerial process in the industry, and they tend to change regularly depending on the suitability to serve in the respective technological period. Therefore, the upcoming manager should stay updated in terms of such information, to safeguard the company's integrity relative to adherence to the regulations.
Additionally, after completing the assignment there is a significant level of knowledge that one gains (Truonga, &Lauraa, 2015). The knowledge of teamwork tends to develop systematically as one goes through literature in search of the managerial skills necessary for one to hold any managerial position in industry. For example, it is evident that a company cannot depend on the production manager, or the chief executive officer alone to operate its business. There are various tasks that one person cannot perform.
There is need to have an individual from every level of study and skill impartation process, to aid the execution of the particular roles within the organization, for better performance (Truonga, &Lauraa, 2015). As in the study program, there are various concepts that need people to discuss, because an individual takes a lot of time to understand them when trying to study by themselves. It is evident that almost every sphere of life requires teamwork because no person is able to execute all necessary roles for a managerial process alone.
In the process of handling the assignment questions, there were various skills observed amongst good managers. The same skills are necessary during the progress of the program because it is essential that a person pursuing a course in the managerial realm start to practice the roles of a manager even before they get to the industry where they practice effectively.
The practices observed in the process include the utilization of the skills within the organization by inspiring the people around the managerial position to explore their professional know-how in performing their respective duties (Eberlein& Abbott et al., 2014). Additionally, it is evident that the managers tend to encourage open as well as honest conversations regarding what is working and what does not work.
Moreover, during the process of the assignment, one could observe the benefits of transparency in the areas where improvement is necessary, and the importance of sharing the skills with the entire workforce to enable a uniform distribution of knowledge within the organization for the unified levels of development (Eberlein& Abbott et al., 2014). In some organizations, the managerial team tends to make a safeguarding panel to review the mistakes made in the process so that they do not recur.
The study involved the application of various managerial models, and there are no cases of the rejected models because the models tested were appropriate and could enable the success of the process. Among the models applied, include the model of the hierarchy of human needs, by Abraham Maslow. The model enables one to gauge the behavior of the workforce and the importance of motivation in initiating an effective managerial process for the performance of the organization.
The psychologist based his claims on the fact that human beings have feelings, desires and emotions that need attention from the management (David, & David, 2016). If the leaders of the organization fail to respond to such requirements, then the performance might go down instead of improving.
Additionally, there was an application of the PRIMO-F (People, Resources, Innovation & Ideas, Marketing, Operations, and Finance) model, which is a model that aids the process of the SWOT analysis for an organization. The model gives a framework for the comparison within either the company or benchmarking against a previous study as well as a comparison involving other organizations (David, & David, 2016). The people represent the experience required for the execution of various processes which concern leadership and control.
Moreover, there exists the Business Excellence Model (EFQM) and the Baldridge criteria for performance excellence. The model enables the assessment of the performance of any organization in diverse settings (Truonga, &Lauraa, 2015). Therefore, the management will be able to assess the performance of the various factors within the organization and effect.
As already mentioned, there are no cases of rejection of the models because the models considered for analysis are quite important for the research. The models were appropriate for the analysis because they enabled significant learning processes. In conclusion, it is prudent to infer that the process of doing the assignment offers a good opportunity for a person to learn various things. The learning process incorporates the factors applicable both in the study program as well as in the work practice.
