Dear Ladies and Gentlemen!
I feel deeply honored and grateful as I stand here before my fellow staff receiving an award I thought would never receive. To be honest, I was stunned to know that I was nominated as employee of the month since I consider myself a pretty average employee, always looking around for some trouble. Without any false modesty, I can say all the employees are equally deserving of this award because everyone works quite hard at the Superclub – some of them harder than me, honestly!
However if my manager did decide to make me an employee of the month, there has to be something about me that really impressed him. I mean I do make an effort on making it work every day, trying to be there on time and if I ever got late, then make up the most reasonable excuse that he could buy. But what I do know is that the entire staff knows I’m a hard worker, and this award is just one of the many things I get for being so good at my job.
In addition, I want to say that working at any job is not easy, nor should the work we do ever be taken for granted. I admit that I might not be the sharpest or most meticulous person at work, but I do try to give my 100% even at the easiest assigned job because, well, that’s how jobs work. I know the tough time we all receive from the management but then, look where it has gotten me. Listening to the manager going, ‘Glad you could make it today, that’s all I have ever wanted from you,’ actually led me to work harder and impress him that I am not just a lazy, unbothered worker, but I can get serious business if need be. And this has made me worthy of becoming the employee of the month.
Once again, I’d like to thank you all for the support and love you have given me and accepted me as an employee of the month. I hope I can keep this up in the future.Thank you!
