Arguably, every stage of human development has various requirements, objectives and priorities. Individuals in a specific stage of human development, work towards the achievement of these priorities, requirements, as well as objectives, of which failure to, will lead to a crisis. In this case, adolescence and adults have these things to achieve. As a matter of fact, the requirements, priorities and objective of adolescent and adults differ tremendously. Individuals in this developmental stage view things in a diverse and unique perspective. Certainly, what is important is to understand these concerns so as to avoid developmental crisis, either physically, psychologically, or socially. In most situations, it develops into a crisis if the adolescent and adults do not meet its these objectives, priorities, as well as requirements.
Adolescence is one of the most sensitive transitional stage from childhood to adulthood. Therefore, it is crucial because the adolescents need to be guided in making their requirements, priorities, and objectives known. Most of them set unrealistic level of which it is difficult to meet. During adolescent stage, cognitive, psychosocial and biological changes take place. In fact, the adolescent experience dramatic physical development and growth, this in turn increases the requirements for nutritional food. In this case, If these requirements are not achieved it may lead to health crisis. In most cases, adolescent require much time to socialize, learn and rediscover who they are. During this process, adolescents require a lot of advice so that they make the right discovery of themselves (Carr 20). Certainly, it is during the socialization process that the adolescent may be plunged into crisis. Additionally, adolescents have various priorities that may constitute to crisis. Adolescence, prioritize in their identity. During this stage, the adolescent undergo various changes, hence, the move to discovering her/her identity constitutes to crisis. Moreover, education and building of a future is a priority to adolescent. Failure to achieve this constitutes to a crisis.
Objectively, adolescent focus on independence, education, and relationship, of which are very crucial. Education is very important because it shapes the life of the adult; hence, adolescence try to develop their future. Generally, adolescent is the moist difficult stage for many people; this is because decisions on requirements, objectives, and priorities are established, which will affect the entire life. Meeting these objectives, priorities, and requirements eliminates reduce the occurrence of crisis (Carr 34).
Adults also have objectives, requirements, and priorities that are crucial in determining their life. As a matter of fact, adulthood come with various crisis, as one develops doubts on their own life. Probably, negation of adult objectives, requirements, and priorities will lead to isolation and intimacy crisis. The highest priority of adults is to develop a good relationship and be good parents. Studies show that those adults who fail to achieve this may lead to stress. Additionally, other priorities of adults that may constitute to crisis include owning a home, earning a good salary, and building a career. Those who feel that they achieved minimal objectives in childhood and adolescent stage try to make up. Marriage in this stage is a crucial priority. Unfortunately, most of those who aspire to be parents put it much far ahead of successfully getting married (Carr 50).
Undeniably, adults require education in order to fulfill their life objectives. Just like adolescent, adults have life requirements that constitute to crisis. Adults require affection and emotional security; this is met by living in an environment where issues are predictable. Moreover, social recognition is part of the requirements adults require. Those who live in an environment where respect and tolerance does not exist will affect their psychology and social life (Carr 67). Whenever these requirements are not made then it may constitute to a crisis. Adults objectively focus on family and future stability. Certainly, some of the objective is to get employment, educate children, gain knowledge on various contemporary issues, as well as remain health.
