Example Of Essay On Budget Cuts For Mental Health Centers In The United States

The government spends or distributes over $100 million dollars for the maintenance of State Mental Health Centers, 85% of the Centers income, when these cuts are enforced it causes the Centers to close, taking away all assistance from clients who solely depend on them to maintain stability in society.
“Today, with demand for public mental health services extremely high, especially at a time of severe economic distress, the crisis in mental health care continues. The impacts are felt throughout society as people go without the treatment they need.” Goodwin, J. (2011, October 21).
Therefore, rather than focus on gun control, the primary focus should be on a continuous allocated budget to keep and maintain the openings of Mental Health Centers all across the US.
The proposed compromise would be to addresses the primary concern of both sides in a way that each can benefit from it, senate, congress and the president will all be in sync with the tenacity of Mental Health Centers remaining open & continuous employment for Licensed Mental Health professionals.
