Symphonic Band Concert Report Example

One of the greatest events I remember this semester is the live concert I attended at the J.K Theatre. On that night, I knew I would be entertained like no any other day before. The band which was performing is called Symphonic Band. In deed, this is one of the greatest bands in this city. When I reached the hall, I was so happy with everything I saw. The band members which consisted of soloist, vocalists and the instrumentalists were organized in a very admirable manner. I was particularly delighted by their unique uniform which produced attractive colors from the laser lights which filled the room. The seats were properly arranged to give fans a large and adequate space for dancing. Moreover, all the instruments were strategically placed in a location which could easily be viewed by each of the fans. The songs were sung in a very good manner to the satisfaction of everyone who graced the occasion.
The first song I would like to discuss about is Autumn Soliloquy. This is in deed one of the most popular songs in this state. It was composed by the legendary James Barnes who was born in 1949. It is of 1 movement. I was really enjoying the song being performed during this concert. It had a transitional melody which used to rise and fall in a periodical manner. Besides, it was characterized by moderate tempo. This definitely gave it an active rhythm. As a result, every body appreciated the performance since it had something unique to offer the fans that were in attendance. Being that they were familiar to the song enabled the show to be more lively because they could join the vocalists in choruses.
The other song which was performed in this concert is English Folk Song Suite. It was composed by Ralph Williams. Williams is one of the most prominent musicians who made imminent contributions in the music industry. He lived between 1872 and 1958. English Folk Song Suite is of 3 movements. It was also performed in a professional manner to entertain all the fans who had filled the theatre. It was harmoniously performed along side the numerous accompaniments which were used by the instruments. Hence, it had a steady tempo with energetic and lyrical melodies. It also created a lively mood in the theatre because of the way the artists played their respective roles. The song came out in a very clear manner which could be appealing to each and every fan that was present in this hall. Its sweet melodies made it to be smooth throughout the performance.
I was moved by the work of art as expressed by the Symphonic Band. The piano, violin, guitar and the drams which were incorporated were skillfully played. Besides, the vocalists demonstrated expertise in the use of microphone to project their voices. This enabled the sounds to come out audibly and in a clear manner. The rhythm was so cool and the lyrics well thought out. Thedrum work, guitar, keyboard did the whole thing justice. The beat aroused some kind of smooth dancing with relatively slow and relaxed movements. One didn’t need so much energy to dance to the tune. Everybody including myself felt like it was a night well spent and a rare one for that matter. It didn’t feel like one of the entertainment night we had had during the semester. This was a much more different night to the others we had known in the past entertainment events. The previous entertainment nights were good and worthy too. If anybody was tasked to rank this night alongside four others we had had during the semester, this one would have been the best. It was a fifth entertainment session we were having in this semester, the first two being performances by the university band. Our school isn’t bad but again isn’t as good. They have some of the best musical instruments and the instrumentalists are music students who still were diamonds in the rough. They didn’t have as immense experience as the Symphonic Band instrumentalists. They were charming in their compositions and had some amazing vocal acts. The instrumentalists again were mostly music students combined with a few others outside our music class.
I would like to conclude by saying that this was a very enthusiastic concert. I was really entertained and learnt a lot from this band. Symphonic Band enabled me to learn that music can be so interesting if the band is properly organized. Both the vocalists and the funs were brought together to enjoy the songs which were made so melodious and rhythmic by the skillful manner in which each of the artists conducted himself. Everyone should consider Symphonic Band as a must watch band. It can leave one in stitches. These artists demonstrated that music can be of great importance if the crew is given a vigorous coaching and each person delegated their responsibilities.
