The term confront can be meant for a direct meeting with somebody or something. On the other hand confrontation can be meant to mean a forced face to face meeting. There are various situations that may be influenced by these two elements in the life of a human being. There are various life experiences or happenings that may intrigue encounter and confrontation. History has recorded various instances that may be influential to future situations and experiences. Among the most recent historical elements that may be captured to influence encounter and confrontation are; the practices in middle ages, early Renaissances as well as civilization. Each of these elements is unique in the manner through which it has influenced modern life following their adverse effects on the livelihood of a human being. In this case, the most influential element is early Renaissance.
There are various traits depicted in the early Renaissance that may be similar to what is happening in the modern age. The main reason for the extension of some traits or existence of similar traits to what was happening in the past is following the subsistence of a group of inhabitants who are driven by same forces during the two eras.
One of the main traits that are evident in the two eras is existence of administration. During the era of Renaissance, there were traits that were evident among the societies that existed defining the respect for ample administration in the society. The society believed that there was need for existence of power among some members of the society so that they may be able to extend ruling to the rest of the community. This led to the existence of some individuals who were dominant of the rest of the society. They would dictate everything that was supposed to take place in the country or the society with no one questioning their decisions (Fumerton and Simon, 1999).
In the modern world, administration is also highly upheld with some individuals entrusted the power to lead the country. Although, during Renaissances leadership was entrusted the most furious individuals at war, the modern administration borrows administration from this kind of administration. Modern leaders are believed to be the opinion shapers in any society. Currently, leadership in countries is entrusted a president who serve as the commander to any individual in the country (Gangwere, 2004).This is the main similarity with Renaissances since only an individual is entrusted power and governance over a good deal of individuals.
The other similarity that exists between that period and now is the existence of religious beliefs. This era was marked with adverse reactions to various religion issues. The main religions on earth remained in disagreements on which religion had the true God and which religion did not understand the true God. The main religions during this time include Islam and Christianity. There were massive divisions among these two religions and other small religions that came up later. Although, Christianity was the most prevalent it was welcomed by adverse challenges as there were protestants and Catholics who had different beliefs and always challenged each other on who was on the right track in terms of religious beliefs (Grazia etal, 2004).
The case of religion exists even in the modern world. Christianity and Islam remain the most prevalent religious groups in the universe. They occupy more than 85% of the believers in the globe. Just as it used to happen during the Renaissance, there are massive challenges that occur between Christianity and Islam. In some countries in the world, there are always quarrels between Christians and Muslims as they aim at influencing each other or becoming dominant over each other. Religion has been taken as the ground for argument and justification for arguments between people in both the era of Renaissance and modern world. However, in the modern world Christianity has been split into various denominations with each believing to be superior to the other (Hinds, 2010). This is the same as the disagreements that existed between Catholics and Christian Protestants.
Respect for culture is also evident in the two eras. The renaissance era is anchored on excellent understanding of the respect for culture. There were beliefs that all countries during this period highly upheld and no one could have gone against them. The beliefs were the definition for the meaning of life to the individuals who experienced the renaissance era. Therefore, respect for provisions of life during this time was not optional. Men and women had to understand what they were supposed to do and nothing could have prevented them from doing what was expected of them (Barker, 2013).
In the modern era, culture remains an extremely significant element in the livelihood of an individual. Various tribes in different countries are governed by certain standards which are the cultural elements of the society. This means that they have to be respected without segregation of age, size or occupation. They define certain activities and moments in the particular society (Hinds, 2010).
This era was defined by various characteristics with which some of them have been transferred with modern era. The traits which have been transferred to the modern living are significant to individuals as well as to the entire society.
One of the characteristics that were prevalent during this era and are present in the modern era include; humanism, art and religion.
Humanism may be defined as the possession of traits that define human beings. Unlike animals, human beings are subject to thoughts and exploration. They do not believe in existing in a static world. They want to live in a globe that has respect to dynamism in terms of livelihood for human beings. During the Renaissance period, individuals were always out for improved living. They focused on making changes which were as a result of persistent research and increased urge to make a living (Barker, 2013).
In the modern world, originality is the order of the day. This is proper definition of humanism, which forms the base of concrete life for human beings. There are so many things that have been developed by individuals in the name of making their life outstanding and worth to live. People borrowed from those ancient times that they are the pioneers of the change that they aspire to see (Barker, 2013). Therefore, they have to find new elements from time to time to match their needs in the modern world.
Humanism defines art and culture. These elements are extremely fundamental in the modern world set up. They define the global identity for individuals or countries. Art and culture are critical elements in the definition of livelihood of individuals. Art is intensively related to innovations and improvements. Therefore, they are representations for humanism which define the livelihood of a human being. Through an encounter with the massive influence of Renaissance period, these elements remain intact in the modern world and have to be respected by all individuals (Moose, 2005).
Humanism is also defined by religion. Human beings are subjects to beliefs, which form the basis of their life. Religion was extremely common among people in the renaissance era. People had conformed to certain beliefs, which need to be considered with massive respect. This is translated into the modern human living where all individuals are entrusted with extensive religious beliefs which form the basis of their lives (Hinds, 2010).
The renaissance era continues to be influential to the modern world in various ways. One of the main ways is through continuous learning of the topic among students. This makes the practices of the period remain alive in the minds of people making them fresh from time to time and this may influence their existence among people (Bowers and Peggy, 2010). It is usually studied in history, making it common among members of the modern world.
Also, various bodies keep on referring to the activities that took place during that era for analysis and comparison with modern world. Among the issues that are analyzed by these individuals during this era is the issue of political administration. The era is known of various forms of government, which reigned making it a reference point for many governments (Vallée, 2004).This poses the challenge of indirect dominance of the old era over the modern form of administration.
Although, these two eras are separated by a great number of years, the renaissance era remain dominant and influential to decision and activities that take place in the modern society. Its characteristics may be unavoidable among individuals in the modern world.
