The greatest success in life happens when an individual completely embraces any failure. Those who endure the most difficult event of their lives will receive the sweetest victory. In order to achieve success, it is necessary to face the reality that failure is part of it. Being successful does not require a hero, all is needed is a heart that is strong enough to embrace challenges and a heart that accepts pain from failing. Failure is the way to victory; nobody rewards any defeat and failure is a step towards success (Estrem, 2010). No individual is free from any challenges or difficulties. Individuals are destined to fail; however, there are many opportunities to develop the strength of character to fight any battle (Carter, 2013). Out of failures, grow the source of success and contentment. Even though failure frustrates the inner self, it is a big step to success because it gives the opportunity to learn and recover, it teaches patience and courage, and it motivates an individual to keep moving forward.
Failure is a way to a successful life; it gives the opportunity to learn and recover. According to Garth Stein that “the true test of being a champion is not his or her triumph, but it is how he or she can overcome obstacles” (Carter, 2013). Failure is only the beginning of success; never give up and stand firm. For example, Thomas Edison’s most memorable invention, the light bulb, an invention with a thousand steps and not failing a thousand times (Estrem, 2010). It shows that the well-developed prototype of Edison’s successful invention is the product of perseverance and passion. The strength to cope with challenges and difficulties can overcome any crisis. The moment crisis is being resolved, success happens.
When an individual experience failure, but he or she embraces it as a challenge, it is a sign of great patience and courage. At the start, children experience failure and their parents are expected to guide them along the way. Accordingly, “letting children experience failure helps them develop the good qualities necessary to succeed in life” (Parry, 2014). For the children, failure is a big word; it sounds heavy for them and connotes a negative act. However, with the proper guidance of the parents or families, the negative impression of failure will change positively among children and teenagers. Parents should never prevent their children from failing because the deprivation of failure results in weaker behaviors to face any challenges in their adult years.
A good motivation to succeed in life is to experience failure. Many define resilience in terms of recovery from difficulties, but for some, resilience develops within the individual that helps them embrace the adversity and prepare them to prosper in life (Parry, 2014). It is necessary to face the journey no matter how hard it is, never make excuses and never give up when things turn out negative. Evidently, “passion can turn everything positively with great perseverance despite the adversity” (Carter, 2013). The hard times make an individual stronger and more successful. On the other hand, facing any difficulty does not mean inviting any misery. It is a way to focus always on the bright side of the situation. Facing failure is not an injustice or inconvenience; instead, it is a chance to receive the victory.
Conclusion
Failure is a step towards success and frustrations, never win. The willingness to take or face failure is a good thing to do. Failure is the greatest teacher in anybody’s life because it teaches everyone to embrace the reality of failing. The reward of failure is success and failure is the key to face challenges in all aspects of life. In order to achieve any worthy success, then take the chance to take the risks.
