Human resource frame is concerned with how employees and the organization relate and how they need one another. The organization needs employees to provide new ideas, talent and energy while the employees need the organization to provide salaries and an opotunity to grow their careers. The organization should identify and endever to meet the human needs rather than employees serving the needs of the company.Employees are a great asset to the organization because they give it a cutting edge above its competititors. While even the most innovative solutions, products, services and programs can be imitated, the excecution which is done by the people cannot be imitated .According to Bolman and Deal (2003) organization should adopt human resource frames that are suitable for both so that there is no exploitation from either side.
Leaders tend to coerce their employees instead of working and developing with them.Coercion is where the leader uses power or strength to influence the behavior of employees by limiting their choices.Deveron (2012) found that coercion mostly uses threats of punishment such as termination, poor reviews and demotions to make employees choose do things rather than force them outright.Coercion in the workplace will Cause resentment and lack of satisfaction consequently a high turnover. Also employees will perform tasks as directed without making suggestions and improvements to the process.Where employees work in cooperation with employees who endever to develop them they are motivated and more involved with the work.As a leader I could use coercion to increase the attendance of meetings with employees. Where employees would have to attend all the staff meetings and also without being late. The threat would be that those who come late or fail to attend without a valid reason will receive poor reviews and no bonuses.
