On January 27 Donald Trump has signed the executive order about the restriction of entry of refugees into the USA. According to the order, reception of all refugees stops for four months. Besides, the document forbids entry into the country to citizens of Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia, and Yemen, including that who have visas, for three months. Restrictions extend also to holders of "green cards" — that is the people authorized to live and work in the United States of America permanently. The document, contrary to an ordinary procedure, has been prepared without participation of specialists of Ministry of Justice who formulate instructions for performance of decrees and laws for executive power. On January 28 the American authorities have begun to execute Trump's order. Visitors from the countries mentioned in the presidential executive order began to be detained at the airports. In the first day, about 200 people have been detained at Kennedy Airport and at other international airports of the country.
At the largest airports of the USA protest actions against Trump's order have begun. Since the morning of Saturday in the airports of New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Seattle and other largest cities there take place meetings in support of migrants. Throughout the country, thousands of people participate in protest actions. Trump's order was opposed by the international organizations and leaders of several countries. In particular, the prime minister of Canada Justin Trudeau has promised to accept the people detained at the American airports. The order was criticized by the German chancellor Angela Merkel (during a migratory crisis of 2015 she has agreed to place nearly one million refugees in Germany), by the prime minister of Great Britain Theresa May and the former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. Other influential people, including the head of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg, also have joined politicians and co-founder of Google Sergej Brin. At the same time, some organizations, in particular — associations of the relatives of Americans killed in terrorist attacks welcome Trump's decree.
The matter is one of the sharpest in public and political life of the country. I consider that the USA as the advanced country of democracy and a stronghold of freedom and equality in the world isn't able to afford similar restrictions for people who need a shelter and belief in justice for all which they can receive only in the USA.
