Thomas Aquinas argues that a world without war is not an absolute value, war is necessary for the freedom of people. At the moment this statement is used by politicians all over the world, but, unfortunately, for the sake of their own goals.
According to Plato people really lived under an illusion, but they tried about the true world of ideas only in vague shadows on the cave wall. This is true for the modern world, people do not know and see many things.
What can unite these philosophers?

In the 21st century the majority of people, whom nature has long ago released from someone’s influence, remain to be unable to use their reason, and all the fault of laziness and cowardice. That is, they can do it, but are afraid of something and do not want to.
Nowadays, more and more people justify themselves and their actions, in order not to be humiliated by other people, not to seem weak and powerless. And it still remains an important issue, as it was shown in the Apology of Plato.
Why are people afraid of expressing their opinion?

Nowadays, many people live in their world and do not think that something could happen to them, because according to Plato, the cave represents the sensory world, in which people live. Like the prisoners of the cave, they believe that through the senses cognize true reality. But this is not so.
According to the ideas of J.J. Rousseau, people have the highest sovereignty in the society. But I think in the 21st century the people as a single whole does not exist because of the contradictions, differences and misunderstandings, which always exist between people.
How to achieve equality among people?
I would like to emphasize the phenomenon of the "freedom" of J. J. Rousseau, where the main law of liberty is the desire to keep own life safe. And in the 21st century people pretend that they are free, but actually depend on someone. That is, the division of people into rich and poor has always been relevant. Slavery is not ancient, now it is just called differently.
Also I would like to mention the philosophy of Aristotle, who urged the people to be virtues, that is, to develop a conscious craving for good, making it a permanent quality of the will. Now it becomes fashionable to advertise the good deeds, such as political elections. But in fact, this does not deter from evil deeds. That is good now is not much, that’s why many people are aggressive.
I separated out the major contributions the philosophers in impact of the understanding ideas and issues of the 21st century:
1. Awareness of the real and fake world;
2. The right of people to be free;
3. Not to be of afraid of passing an opinion .
As we can see the problems of all time remain unchanged, but their solution does not exist. I think the solution is among us and it depends on us.
