The difference of goods made in America and outside America is the quality. Goods made in America are of high quality due to the high competition from substitutes. Moreover, stringent regulations on standards and quality assurance enhance the quality of goods in America. The sources for information are mostly for profit such as magazines, websites, newspapers, television and radio shows. The source makes a big difference since most of the profit sources of information are designed to persuade unlike scholarly work which provide a scientific perspective of the subject matter. The television show and items selected included hair colors, and shampoo. It is pertinent to note that the commercials and new shows incorporated a wide range of techniques that made them interesting. The advertisements were geared towards me based on the approach and the elements included in the commercials.
The commercial on the shampoo is anchored on aspects that are deemed pertinent to the youth which include fashion, music and sports. Moreover, the use product placement in shows and movies that are attractive to the youth is a clear indication that the marketers were targeting people within my demographic category. Both the shampoo and hair color adopted television, internet and magazine advertising. These are channels of advertising that are most predominant with the youth. It is pertinent to note that the hair color advertisement on the magazine had used a celebrity in their advertisement on the magazine. The celebrity acts as a key influencer to making the purchase decision. As youth most of my purchase decision is made on an emotive platform and I acknowledge that the shows were marketed in a manner that elicited an urge.
