Writing the first essay on memoirs helped me develop reflective thinking techniques and put it into writing. The memoir essay is a part of one’s past and reflecting on the things that happened in the past helped me build on my reflective memory skills to help me write a good memoir. Reflective writing technique is something I had not done before because most of the writing I did was based on research and case studies. This was a new experience and gave me a chance to put my memory into use by making thinking about experiences and putting it into writing. When writing the frit essay I realized the importance of evaluating one’s work and then going back to the details in an effort to see if the work you have written is consistent with the questions asked. This made it easier to write the second essay because I had developed good writing skills using the reflective thinking applied in the first essay. This was useful when writing the second essay on classification because it helped me arrange my thoughts in a systematic manner that helped in classifying the different ideas and thoughts into a systematic manner that can be easily understood by the reader.
As I was writing the first essay I was a bit hesitant on what to put down and what to leave out, but as I finished the paper I had gained enough confidence in my ability to put my ideas and thoughts into writing and this was a great help when it came to writing the second essay. I realized that it is fundamental for any writer to have confidence on ones skills and ability to put down what they believe is right and write in such a way that will help the person reading to identify with your ideas and thoughts.
