Literary Analysis
In the societies today, there comes a point in the life of an individual when there is the loss of innocence. The loss of innocence originates from the gain f experience and knowledge by these individuals. People lose their innocence through many situations. These situations are forms of occurrences in the lives of individuals that have major impacts on their lives (Fryback, 2008). It is important to understand the facts and aspects that cause loss of innocence among the individuals. There are certain states that an individual undergoes during the process of loss of innocence. These steps occur prior to experiencing the loss of innocence and after the process.
The protagonist state is one of the states that an individual inhabits before losing their innocence. As such, the protagonist state that I inhabit prior to losing my innocence is undecided. The loss of innocence is an important aspect in the life of a human being. It is a continual process that will affect the entire life of an individual (Fryback, 2008). With the loss of innocence, there is a loss of naivety and an emergence of new understanding and perceptions concerning elemental issues in life. Therefore, it is not easy for individuals to decide whether they are ready for a new beginning in their lives. In different occasions, loss of innocence occurs rapidly in the lives of individuals. That is; people are unprepared to accept the new changes in their lives. They think that they are not ready to embrace their new conceptions and perceptions related to important subjects in life.
My protagonist state is a good thing because it gives me an opportunity to evaluate myself. The undecided state is essential because it gives me the capacity to embrace every change that occurs in my life during the loss of innocence. Many individuals whose protagonist state is undecided have an upper hand because they have the ability to monitor their capacities with every possible change that comes with the loss of innocence (Kohl, 2009). The undecided state is also important because it allows for proper management of the changes as they come with new knowledge and experiences. Additionally, the undecided state allows for accommodation of all changes, new experiences, new responsibilities and new perceptions associated with loss of innocence.
Various factors cause the protagonist loss of innocence. These factors are in the environments in which individuals exist. Most of the environmental factors are the social factors and happenings in the society. These factors enable individuals to understand the difference between right and wrong (Kohl, 2009). They enable individuals to realize their strengths and weakness. First, criminal activities will affect my protagonist loss of innocence. Knowing the victims of an unforgivable and unforgettable crime plays a key role in this manner. Moreover, witnessing a crime or a heinous violation of a crime is stronger. After witnessing such events, it proves hard to disregard the memory of those occurrences.
Occurrences in the society also cause this protagonist loss of innocence. Accepting or acknowledging situations of other people in the society influences the loss of innocence. Hardships in the society and life are another force influencing the loss of innocence. That is; these hardships will allow for the development of an understanding of the situations. An individual will be more desperate during the tough times and develop tendencies of becoming impulsive. As such, learning survival mechanisms is these difficult situations become the protagonist loss of innocence (Patterson & Whelan, 2013). Religious aspects are another factor causing the protagonist loss of influence. There are certain norms and regulations required by the religion. Going against these regulations leads to a loss of innocence.
These factors of protagonist loss of influence have a significant influence on my protagonist. They influence my perception of the aspects that cause my loss of influence. The impact of these factors on my protagonist varies across various aspects that cause my loss of influence. I develop various attitudes towards different subjects in the society (Patterson & Whelan, 2013). The forces compel me to align my inhabited protagonist state to fit the current situation.
The external forces from the society including changes in the societal behavior, systems, and local orientations influence my personal thinking of the changes in my loss of influence. These forces drive my conception of the loss of influence. I develop a deep understanding of my strengths and weaknesses from these forces. That is; my handling of the external forces defines my strengths in relation to the protagonist loss of innocence (Patterson, 2013). I also cultivate a clear understanding of the variations of what is wrong and what is right in the society. From this understanding, I can define my values and manage myself in relation to the effects of loss of innocence.
The forces define my personal in depth on the extent to which I am affected with the protagonist loss of innocence. That is; they give me the opportunity to understand my protagonist state prior to the loss of innocence and after the loss of innocence.
