Fallacies in Communication
A fallacy refers to an argument that is logically and rhetorically incorrect which tend to undermine the arguments soundness and the logical validity of the argument. This paper will be giving two examples of fallacies that have been majorly argued upon by the majority of people. The fallacies shall also give a general world view of a diverse area in culture, politics, business, government, sports and entertainment.
The first fallacy to ponder upon is that white items are better than black items. This is because black is always associated to negative happenings while the white items are always related to good things. for example , the black list is always there to express an information of people who have committed vices in the society like refusing to honor pledges, the fraudsters and all n]\manner of other negative vices that are always shun in the society. On the other hand, when you appears on the white list, it is an expression of a kind of a good achievement worth emulating and appreciating.
The analogy of black and white has also greatly affected the social and religious sectors. For example, why is the devil, the demons and all sort of immoral things expressed in a black art? The symbol for righteousness, for the Christian community, Christ is expressed a white and the peace symbol is always white. This makes the society to generally have a feeling that indeed the devil and all bad things are always associated to black whereas all good and wonderful things are always symbolized by white.
On the other political side, the black nations like in Africa have been marred with a lot corruption, bad leadership, civil wars, poverty and a system of failed governments, failed policies and so on. This can easily make the rest of the world, like the American society to believe that they are better humans than the blacks which has often resulted into racism and other sorts of disparities. It can also be seen from the blacks association with social vices like drugs and robbery in the American society. But does this mean that the black people are less superior to white people? Does it mean that the black items from Africa fetch low because they are of low quality than the American products? No, these are fallacies that the society has lived with for years.
Apart from the black analogy, the second example of a fallacy is that everything Chinese is a fake photocopy of the original item, to illustrate this point , the Chinese products especially to the African market have been always proved to be cheap identical and that which fits all classes of people. Scientifically and technically, the Chinese people are always seen to be good imitators in terms of copying the original things and producing an exact or similar copy of the fake one to suit the market and technological demands. This may have possibly made people to prefer goods from other nations other than China since the common fallacy is that whatever is made in china either fake or too common and so monotonous.
The honest opinion is that fallacies may be used in the society and to the rest o9f the world to brainwash the masses to believe in certain things in order to achieve a specific goal. This always does not mean that whatever exists as a reality may be true and applicable to everyone. However, most of them are always jus mere stereotypes that are not necessarily true or provable.
